We played around on the beach, stretching our limbs, and just having great fun. Aang rode some giant, orange fish, trying to impress Katara. We remained near shore, before I felt something.
"AANG! GET OUT OF THE WATER!" I shouted. "What's wrong?" Katara asked worriedly. I ignored her, as I dove into the sea, and burst towards him. "What's up?" Aang asked, still unaware. "Get to shore, now," I ordered, just as the serpent breached the surface.
"Oh, crud!" Aang exclaimed, and Air Ran to shore, skimming atop the water. I turned to the serpent. "Halt!" I called. Its mouth stopped a few feet from me. "You will not harm me, nor my allies ever. Understood?" I asked.
"My apologies, Son of the Sea God. I was unaware of your presence in this world. Forgive me," he said in a wise voice, in his tongue, as his head bowed to me. "So long as we are in disturbed by any attacks of your origin, it will be forgotten," I said.
"Thank you, Milord. What of any other beings?" He asked, his eyes pointing to the horizon. "Any Fire Nation with a person named Zuko aboard, force the Ship away. Do not kill any occupants," I ordered. He nodded, and submerged.
I looked down to the orange fish I was standing on. "Please return me to shore, my apologies for any inconvenience we may have caused you," I said. "No apologies needed, Admiral," she said, and swam to shore.
"The messengers from the South were eaten by him, so he was unaware of your existence," she explained. "I see. No matter, I'm sure my existence will spread much farther now," I replied.
"Percy, how weren't you eaten?" Sokka asked, as I walked up to them. "I speak many languages," I simply answered. "We have to better acquainted to learn more from me," I said.
Then, we got captured. I awoke groggily, a sore spot on my neck. "Tranquilizer Dart. Predictable. Whoever you may be, you need some better tactics," I said, through the bag over my head.
"Quiet," a girl ordered. I groaned in annoyance. "Percy? What's wrong?" Katara asked. "Female Warriors. From my experience, not a strong liking to men. And what is my gender? Male," I answered, annoyed.
"You mean to tell me weak, little girls beat us up. Doubt it," Sokka replied. "If you want to keep your tongue, I wouldn't talk bad about them," I warned. "You are quite smart for a boy," another girl said. "My intelligence is not due to my sex, miss. Do not judge me for the actions of my gender," I spitefully replied.
"You are discriminating me in the same way Sokka is discriminating you. Just because I relate to a certain gender, I can't be a certain thing." "Our apologies, Percy. We meant no disrespect," a man's voice said.
"And neither did we, right?" Aang said to me. "No. I did mean disrespect. To penetrate someone's skull you need a blunt object. Truth hurts, but sometimes, you need to be truthful for others to learn," I answered. "Wise words, Percy. Thank you," the man replied.
"Can we see?" Katara asked. The bags were removed soon after. "Can we see? You couldn't ask something better?" I asked, my tone in a joking manner. "Nothing else came to mind, Perseus," Katara snapped. "Only those who want me dead call me Perseus," I retorted.
"And my mother when she's really mad," I concluded. I looked around the lot, and saw armored teen girls, with Kyoshi Face Paint on. "Warriors of Kyoshi, should've known. I mean, what other all female group that resides on an island do you know of?" I asked.
"You know us, but we don't know you. Care to enlighten us?" The girls said. "Sorry, but we just met. Maybe the third date before you learn more of me," I joked, with a lopsided grin.
"...Why are you here?" One asked, looking like the leader, due to the extra details. "Relaxation. We have been flying for too long, and needed a break," I answered. "Will you let the others speak?" Another asked. "Sokka? No. He'd say something wrong, and probably get punched for it. Aang? Yes. As the Avatar, he is the Mortal Embodiment of Hope and Peace. Katara? Yes. She is much wiser than her brother," I answered, tugging on my ropes.
"The Avatar?! We meant no disrespect, sir," the chubby, bearded man said. The Warriors untied us, and I made sure Sokka stayed close to me. "Don't do anything disrespectful to them," I ordered sternly. He nodded hastily.
"Is there anything we can do for the Avatar and his friends?" The man asked. Aang looked to me. "What?" I asked. "You're the more professional one, and the oldest," Aang replied. I rolled my eyes. "We could use a Room. We will not be staying long, so we could also use some supplies for our journey North," I listed.
"Of course. Suki, could you lead them to where they'd be staying?" The man asked. The leader nodded, and led us off. We got a hut next to the largest one at the end. "Thank you, miss Suki. My apologies for earlier," I said.
"No, you were in the right. I should apologize," Suki replied. "It is unnecessary," I said, and entered the hut. Suki walked off. "So, what are we going to do? We have a couple of hours before we need to sleep. And we should rest early, to leave at first light," I said.
"I'm...going to apologize," Sokka said, slipping away. "I'm going to help with our supplies," Katara said. "I'll keep Sokka out of trouble," Aang said, flying off. "I'll check our perimeter," I said to myself, walking off.
