The dark skies clouded with ominous gray clouds. Heavy droplets of rain pelted against the window of her classroom, drawing her droopy eyes to the glass.

Her chin sat in the palm of her hand as she dozed off for a minute. It was so cold and calming that her mind began to relax, growing tired.

Soon enough, she fell asleep.

"Yumiko-san, class is over." Ennoshita pointed out, waking the female up from her small that lasted all class.

The female stirred in her sleep, slowly getting up. Ennoshita chuckled when he saw the lines imprinted on her cheek, finding it to be quite adorable. "You're like a little kid."

"Fuck off." Yumiko muttered tiredly, not in the best mood after being woken up from such a wonderful nap. My dream T-T

"Practice is canceled for today because Coach wants us to rest before the tournaments." Ennoshita explained, walking down the hall with the sluggish female. His eyes fell upon the window, noticing how the rain was still pouring down heavily. "Do you have an umbrella?"

Yumiko checked her bag, shaking her head with a sigh, "No. I think I lent it to Yacchan the other day."

"I see." Ennoshita peered up, spotting Tsukishima at the getabako. The tall blond changed into his outdoor shoes, pulling out an umbrella from his bag as he approached the door. "There's your chance."

Ennoshita shoved her in Tsukishima's direction, not taking into account how drowsy she still was. Her face bumped into his back, almost knocking him down from the surprise contact. "Oh- sorry..."

Standing upright, Yumiko grabbed the back of Tsukishima's jacket and pulled him backwards. "Are you okay? I hit you hard! I'm so sorry!"

The blond simply nodded, adjusting his glasses that had fallen askew when he launched forward. "I'm fine."

The female exhaled with relief, sharply turning to the side to glare at Ennoshita who had disappeared. When she turned back to face Tsukishima, the realization set in. Oh, fuck.

"W-Well, uh, see you tomorrow!" Yumiko called out, buttoning up her jacket and preparing to head out in the rain without an umbrella. Haul ass and LEAVE.

"Are you dumb?" He caught her by the wrist, yanking her back before any water could begin to soak her clothes. "You'll get sick if you walk in the rain."

To hide her awkward, nervous behavior, she whipped out a playful joke, "Gosh, is Tsukishima Kei worried about me again? I'm very flattered."

The male didn't answer, cheeks tinting pink as he scoffed. "Whatever. Just get over here." He tugged her in his direction, surprising the female who almost fell into him.

He shifted his bag to the other shoulder, holding the umbrella with his other hand. Yumiko stood close to him, so close that she could smell his familiar scent of his cologne. He almost smelled minty.

Wordlessly, they both began walking, entering the rain shower that loudly hit the top of the umbrella.

His long legs helped him take larger strides but with the shorter female at his side, he took smaller steps to keep pace with her.

"It's coldddd." Yumiko whined, brushing a strand of hair out of her face. He peered down at her. Turning her head, she rose her eyebrows, "Are you cold too?"

Both of their eyes widened when they realized how close they were. Immediately, they looked away and coughed awkwardly.

Yumiko kept her eyes trained on the ground, happening to notice a tail coming from a bush. "What is that?"

Tsukishima slowed to a stop, following her eyes thag were focused on the bush. "A cat?"

As if on cue, the small kitten jumped out of the bush, running at Yumiko who gasped. The small kitten sat on her shoe, practically begging Yumiko to pick him up.

"Oh my god, he's so cute." She bent down, carefully picking up the small kitten that was soaked to the skin. She cradled it to her chest, wanting to cry when she saw how cute it was. "Look at his cute little eyes!"

Tsukishima leaned over her shoulder to look at the kitten that sat in her hands. Cute.

"He kinda looks like you!" She exclaimed, holding her kitten out to him. The small feline had fluffy strawberry blond fur with brown eyes. "So cute!"

Tsukishima felt his heart skip a beat. He bit his lip in an attempt to hold back a blush. Jeez...

"I'm gonna take him home. He can be my little baby." Yumiko cooed, holding the cat so gently. While she was distracted with the kitten, Tsukishima pulled out his ringing phone and answered.

"Hello?" Tsukishima answered, turning away from Yumiko who didn't dare listen it.

"Kei, are you almost home? Akiteru fell off the ladder while trying to fix a lightbulb so we need your help fixing the light." His mother explained calmly, laughing when Akiteru began to whine about her exposing him so easily.

Tsukishima glanced at Yumiko, not really wanting to part just yet. "Uh, yeah, I'll be home soon."

"Okay, honey! See you soon!" With that, his mother hung up and Tsukishima sighed, putting his phone back in his pocket.

"Gotta go?" Yumiko asked, already unbuttoning her jacket to stick the small kitten inside. He nodded, earning a determined grunt from Yumiko. "Alright, me and my little baby can handle it from here."

Before she could even step out from under the umbrella, he caught her by the collar of her shirt and pulled her backwards. Grabbing her hand, he placed the umbrella in it and forced her fingers to curl around it. Stepping away from the female, he turned on his heels. "I'll be off."

"Wait, Tsukishim-" The boy disappeared down the street, being soaked to the sink almost immediately. He was glad he had put his headphones in his bag earlier.

Yumiko stood there a for minute, genuinely worrying for the younger male who was being rained down on. Looking down at the small kitten who peeked his head out, she frowned. "You think he'll be okay?"

The baby kitten meowed, sending an arrow through her heart. Turning on her heels, she carried the umbrella above her and made her way home.

With a giggle, she caressed the blond kitten, "Would it be weird if I named you Kei?"
