"Sensei! Sensei! Senseiii!!!"
"Yes, honey." Yumiko said as she bent down to the child's height. The small brown haired boy grinned, bouncing up and down happily.
"Are you and Sensei dating!?" The boy exclaimed, pointing at the silver haired male who was busy helping other children in the distance.
Yumiko laughed softly, "No, Koushi-san and I aren't dating. We're just friends."
"Rei-tan!" One of the girls pushed a boy forward, gasping lightly when he tripped on his feet and fell towards Yumiko.
With quick reflexes, Yumiko caught the small boy before he could fall on his face. "Are you okay, Rei-kun?"
The tiny boy blushed, finally facing the girl he liked. He was young and easily captivated by beautiful things. He found Yumiko to be the prettiest teacher he had ever seen, so he had a small crush on her. It was adorable.
"Here, sensei." The small boy placed a bracelet in her hand, pouting lightly.
Yumiko gasped, "This is beautiful, Rei-kun. Did you make this all by yourself?"
He nodded proudly. "I made it for you. We're married now."
"Are we now?" The brunette female laughed softly. Reaching out, she ruffled his hair and pulled him in for a hug. "Thank you, Rei-kun. I'm too old for you, but I'll always be your Sensei, okay?"
He pouted dejectedly, "Okay."
Luckily, his mood was brightened when one of the girls called him over to draw with her.
"Popular with the kiddos, huh?" Suga chuckled.
"I guess. You're more popular than me though." Yumiko laughed, standing up straight. Upon seeing the clock hit a specific time, she turned to the children to round them. "Come on, kids. Class is almost over."
"So, what are you planning to do tonight? Go home and cry again?" Suga asked jokingly, earning a hard slap on the back from Yumiko who rolled her eyes.
"You're a prick, you know that?" She whispered, turning away to help the students clean up to head home. "I'll probably order some take-out and watch a movie. Then cry later."
Suga laughed, disappearing into the classroom closet to put away some materials they had brought out for class today.
It had been almost almost five years since Yumiko had graduated from high school. Now, she was working as a teacher at the same school as Suga who liked to combine his class with hers so they could work together. Her plan of meeting with Tsukishima when he graduated quickly fell through when he grew busy with college and she got busy with her jobs and other things. Naturally, they drifted and became the strangers they are today. They occasionally text but it isn't for long.
"Sensei!" One of the girls called out in a sing song manner. Yumiko approached the girl, bending down to her height. The small girl pointed outside the window and glanced back and forth. "Who's Papa is that? He's been waiting for a long time."
Seeing the large figure in the distance, Yumiko squinted and tilted her head to the side. "I, uh, actually don't know. I can't really.." see that far.
"It's probably one of the parents waiting early to pick up their child." Suga reassured the small girl, ruffling her hair gently.
As if on cue, the bell rang to signal the end of the day. Students quickly stood up, exiting the classroom to begin their journey home. Suga finished cleaning up while Yumiko changed into her outdoor shoes. "Alright, I'll be off."
