*Griffin’s POV*
We reached the place where the coffee was and got the cups and poured the coffee, we stayed there for a moment. Leaning up against the counter.
“I don’t know how much hell the girls can go through, I thought it was over when Jayden was arrested. But I was wrong.” Mike said.
“they’re at their breaking point, all the time, then something else happens and they push the line further away. They like testing themselves. And always surprise us.”

“Yeah, how is it that we get the girls with the most fucked up and intriguing life ever?”
“Keeps things interesting, there is never a dull moment.” I said, taking a sip.
“That is true, you ready to head back?”
“Yeah, I gotta get Kelly something.”
“She said she didn’t want anything.”
“Can you count how many times the girls lie to us just to keep themselves from feeling like a burden. I know when she’s lying.” I said
“True.” I grabbed her a Dr. Pepper before heading back.

We went back in the room,  quietly, just in case Kelly was asleep.
“Here,”
“What’s this?” she said, looking up, slightly. Almost like she was pouting.
“Something to keep you awake,”
“I said I didn’t want anything.” she pouted.
“Since when do I listen to anything you say when it comes to your health.”
“Never.”
“Exactly, take it.” she took it.
“You’re annoying.”
“Love you too.” I leaned down and kissed her head before sitting down.

*Kelly’s POV*
We talked for a while, I slowly became tired. The Dr. Pepper didn’t help any. I rested my head on my hand.
“What time is it?” I asked.
“Almost 4, why, you gettin’ tired?” Griffin asked.
“Hmm, no” I said still with my eyes closed.
“Liar, come here.”
“No,”
“Fine. I’m coming over there.”
“No.”
“Yes.” He apparently was already over here, because he picked me up and put me in his lap.
“Go to sleep. I’ll wake you up when she wakes up.”
“Hmm mkay.”

*Next morning, Griffin’s POV*
Mike and I had stayed up all night, unlike Kelly. It was around 8:00, Maddie had woken up.
“Kelly…” I tapped her arm lightly.
“Kelly…” I tapped her a little harder.
“Kelly..” I eventually shook her.
“Hmm”
“Wake up.”
“No.”
“Kelly Marie, Wake up.” Maddie said. I saw her turn her head a little, just glancing at Maddie.
“Mhm, kill me later it’s morning time.”
“No.”
“I’ll buy you food.” I said, kowing she'd wake up.
“Fine.” she said and raised her head up.

*Kelly’s POV*
He promised food, so I woke up.
“What time is it?”
“8:15,” Griffin said. The doctor from last night came in.
“Good morning, we just need to check her vitals, and would like to keep her here overnight for observation, to make sure that nothing happens again.”
“Happens again?” Maddie asked.
“Y’all didn’t tell her?” I asked, looking at the boys.
“No,” they said.
“Mad, you flatlined. There was nothing but a faint pulse.”
“Really?"
“Yeah.”
“Your friend-”
“Sister” we both corrected.
“Sister, here. Threatened me last night, which I forgive you. I understand that you were under stress.”
“Bitch does it look like I was apologizing? I meant it. And still do." Griffin gave me a look. I sighed.
"But thank you for saving her.” She nodded and left.
“Kelly you what?” Maddie asked.
“Nothing.”
“Marie.”
“Madison.”
“What happened?”
“Nothing.”
“When you first flatlined, they told us that we would have to wait outside. Which Kelly’s response was, no I’m staying. They said it again and she said I’m not leaving her damn it. Then I eventually got her outside. When they revived you, she was calmer. When the doctor said we could go back in, and tried to walk away. Kelly grabbed her arm. And it looked pretty hard. She said Doc, if you ever tell me to get out when she is flatlining or about to lose her life again. Then her grip got harder and she got the most serious look in her eyes that i’ve ever seen and said, I won’t hesitate to end yours.” Griffin said.
“Really?”
“Yeah.” Mike said.
“I still mean it.”
“Kelly, that wasn't’ necessary.”
“When do I listen to you.”
“Good point” We talked for a while longer, not wanting to leave.
