Chapter 5 Mia Leave

I woke up next to Brenda, I can’t lie waking up to Brenda felt great. I felt if all my problems went away. “Baby, I’m going to make breakfast okay” Brenda said happy. “I’m coming to” I said exited. When I walked into the living room to find Mia sitting there, Brenda ran into the room to call the police. “No need to” said Mia.  “I already called them.”

Mia stood up with paper and said “The place looks different.” “What is you even talking about, get out” said Brenda. “Hush, I’m talking to my baby daddy” Mia said in a smart voice. Brenda suddenly remembered how Javion and Mia used to mess around. Brenda ran up on Mia and swung on her. Mia fell on the couch and Brenda started punching her in the face. Mia picked up the books that had fell and threw it at Brenda.

I got up and pulled Mia off of Brenda. Mia had a busted lip and Brenda had a black eye. Mia had left and said “You just mad because you was just the side chick, so have a nice day honey boo child.” The police came in at the most craziest time, I was holding Brenda who had a black eye and Mia had a messed up face. They arrested me for assault and battery.

I was bailed out by my friend Shaun 2 days later. All I could think about was Brenda and how I had hurt her. “Man, what are you going to do? Terence is looking for you with his crew.” Shaun said with fear in his voice. “I don’t know, all I care about is Brenda.” We stopped by Sasha’s house and knocked on the door. “Who is it” Shasha said in a scared tone. “Me” I said doubting she would open the door. “Please let me in.” She slowly opened the door and slapped me. She had a black eye and looked traumatized. “What happened to you? Oh, you got a new boyfriend?” I said in a funny voice. “Shut up Javion, it’s your fault.” When she said this my stomach dropped, “What.” I said upset  “Brenda” she said afraid. “Her too.” I moved Shasha out the way and ran in to the room. Brenda was in fetal position crying.

I picked her up and held her. She cried so hard till I cried. “What happened?” I said in a questioning tone. “Get out Javion!” She was so upset with me. “Some guy came in here and…” Shasha could not get the words out. “WHAT” Shaun screamed. “They hurt us” Brenda finished Sasha’s sentence. “How?” I asked. “They raped me and told me to tell you that this was no biggie, they are coming for you next and they are going to kill you.” Brenda was so afraid. I hated the moment she was afraid of me and my danger.
