I have come to peace with mother gone. I continued to work at Brunswick's Surf Shop with Cali. Cali and I were closer than ever before. She's been like my second family since my Mother died.
Dean and I still remain friends, although he continually reminds me that he is still waiting for me. And Dillan and I have decided to be friends since my mothers passing. I just wasn't ready to be in a relationship. I haven't been able to think clearly.
I walked out of the house and headed for the beach. We were all supposed to get together to surf one last time before winter started.
"Hey Astra!" Cali said while sitting on a beach towel next to Josh.
"Hey Cal! Hey Josh!" I responded.
I looked to my right and saw Dean running towards me. He picked me up and ran towards the ocean. We began to splash water and play around. Shane was already surfing.
"Astra!" I heard Dillan's voice from a far.
I looked over and saw him walking with someone. I swam towards the beach and began to walk over towards him and his new friend.
"Astra, I'd like you to meet Sarah." Dillan said smiling at Sarah.
My heart stopped.
"It's nice to meet you Astra." Sarah said. "Dillan's told me so much about you."
