Bracken's POV:
I sat down at the foot of my bed, still not quite sure how to process everything that had happened the night before. Sure, we were all safe now. Navarog was being relocated to the quiet box. But...we weren't really all safe.
Kendra wasn't safe. Warren wasn't safe. And that fact was made even more apparent at last night's funeral.
They were...gone. Hundreds of years of meeting allies and going on missions...but somehow this just hurt more than anything. Maybe because it was my fault for not stopping her...for not sacrificing myself instead. It was my fault she was there anyway.
Heck, it was my fault they were all there.
And now I would have to deal with this for the rest of my life.....
