Arial's Pov

I had spent the whole day at the park with Cody.

Padge called me several times wanting to know where I was since I never went out, but I just plainly told him I was with a friend.

We (Cody and I) talked about everything, and he made me laugh until I cried.  

He was amazing, and that made me feel guilty, because part of me did like him, but another part of me was just using him to forget Matt.

That night he had walked me home, and Matt and Padge were in the front yard smoking when I got there.

Both of them looked mad. 

My brother was super protective of me, so I understood why he was upset, but I didn't understand the reason for Matt's pout. 

Must've been having problems with Roxy or something.

"Who's he?" Padge asked me right after Cody was out of sight. 

I shrugged and smiled innocently.

"Well....I think he's kinda my boyfriend.." I said shrugging again.

"Woah woah woah...kinda..?!?" He asked hysterically. "You practically  just met him!"

"Yup.." I said popping the 'p' at the end. I grinned at him and went inside and up to 'my' room.

Well, Cody was just 'kinda' my boyfriend. 

He hadn't actually asked me to be his girlfriend, but we spent most of our time at the park kissing, and he constantly was telling me about how much he liked me, so I mean...that counts for something, right?

Whatever.  

I got ready to go to bed. 
I sat in bed for a while reading 'Dracula'. 

Then I went to sleep.

Matt's Pov

I was beyond pissed. Who was that stupid kid that brought Arial home anyway!?  

I rolled my eyes and sat down on the couch next to Padge.

He turned to look at me and had the funniest damn look on his face. 

"What..?" I asked chuckling a bit. 

"I think that dude was Arial's boyfriend." He said with a huge smile on his face.  

I frowned. 

"So..?" I asked trying to hide my oh so obvious jealousy. 

"Well, I'm just happy mate! It's been a while since I've seen her with anyone, let alone a guy. So I'm actually stoked!!" He said clapping like a retarded seal.
"I just need the little dude to think I'm all tough and an asshole and stuff so he's careful with her."

I rolled my eyes and faked a smile.

But Padge knew better than that. 

Of course he did! 
We had been friends almost since we were babies.
He raised his eyebrows and shook his head.
