Arial's Pov

I woke up tucked neatly into my bed, though I was still in my school uniform.

Exactly how I had fallen asleep after crying yesterday evening.....

Then that meant......

It was all a dream.

Matt had never actually kissed me.

Duh! Matt would never kiss me, he had a girlfriend, and besides, I was 'like his little sister.'

I rolled my eyes at the thought of him saying that.

I got up and got straight in the shower. Then I had breakfast with Matt's parents before getting ready for school.

At 6:45 Matt was outside waiting for me, just like he did everyday.

Except I felt different know. I couldn't look at him the same way after dreaming about him like that.

"Morning love." He said.

"Morning." I muttered looking down at my feet. I couldn't even look him in the eye.

"Is anything wrong...you've been acting weird lately." He asked as we walked through the sugary snow.

"No, just....nothing." I said not being able to think of an excuse.

If I wanna maintain my sanity, I'm gonna have to tell him sooner or later....

Definitely later.

"You sure....? Is it about your stepdad? You know you can tell me anything."

God I wish he would just shut up and stop being so perfect.

We walked up the stairs and through the big glass doors. He walked me to my locker, and asked the same question about two more times.

Fuck it.

Here goes nothing....

"Look Matt, the truth is......I li-"

NOPE.

Matt stared at me with a confused look on his face.

"I like someone..." I sighed.

"Oh, really?" He looked confused. "Well that's a relief,I thought it was something worse.
Well, you're a beautiful girl Arial, and you can get any guy you want. And I promise I'm not just saying that because you're my little sister...."

I started to get happy but as he said that last sentence, I felt hopeless again.

I'm not actually his sister, nor do I wanna be anything close to that, I want the complete opposite. So he better shut up cause I am not playing around. Friendzone-avoiding is some serious business.

Thankfully the bell rang, and Matt went to his class, and I went to mine.

I had History.

Ew.

I sat next to Cody.
Sam and Nat had a different class.

I was doodling in my notebook, when I felt someone staring at me. I looked up to find Lacey staring right at me. I smiled, but she didn't smile back.

The fuck is her problem?

I sighed and put my head down 'till the class ended. I basically sprinted out, with Cody right behind me.

During lunch I sat with my usuals; Sam and Nat. Cody had gone to sit with his guy friends.

I saw Lacey sitting at the table that was in front of the one I was at.
