School reunion

Kaminari's pov

"So, Kaminari, you two are still together then?" I turn to face the voice.

"Todoroki! Yeah, we are. I guess it made it easier that our hero agencies are close together." He nods.

"Shinso, I heard you're  a pro hero already? That's pretty amazing."

Shinso nods from beside me.

"It took a little longer than all of you guys, but I made it eventually. Three years is still pretty quick for a hero." I can feel him smiling from beside me.

My agency is out in the country, where my quirk doesn't do too much damage to property, but it's also good for long distance chases. It definitely helps that I can now control my quirk and how many volts I use.

Shinso, on the other hand, works in the city, hunting down mafia and the like, but mostly working in interrogation.

I'm proud of him.

"I heard you took over your father's agency Todoroki?" Shinso inquires.

"Yeah, he finally decided to step down. Took the stubborn man long enough."

"And how's our number one hero?" He continues, referring to Midoriya. Todoroki sighs.

"The stress is kind of getting to him. But we're making it through."

Shinso's pov

"Have you asked him out yet?" I ask. He shakes his head.

"How could I? It's never the right time, it would be selfish of me to think only of myself when he's working so hard. I don't want to ruin what we have." I sigh. It's been the same since first year - it's not the right time, don't want to ruin anything, it should just stay the same. But it's his choice, and I respect that.

"How are Bakugo and Kirishima going? I heard Bakugo got sent to hospital recently, know anything about that?"

"Yeah, I'm pretty sure he just broke his leg. He's all recovered now. Actually-" Denki looks around the school pavilion, "he should be here today."

He spots him not too far away and points him out.

"He and Kiri have it rough though. With Bakugo being the number 2 hero, he's in a different place every week. But they're making it work."

"Hey Kaminari! Hey Shinso!" Midoriya walks up to us.

"Heyyyy, How you doing number one?" Kaminari asks.

"Yeah, alright. Hero work is a lot though."

I secretly grin. This is my chance.

"It must be. What've you been up to recently?" I inquire, attempting to elicit a response.

"Oh you know... there was this one guy who-" he cuts off as I activate my quirk.

"Shinso..." todoroki growls. My grin becomes less secret.

"Hey Midoriya, if todoroki asked you out, would you say yes?"

Midoriya glances between me and Todoroki, and grins.

"Of course I would!"

I'm pretty proud of that. Not the response, but the way people act when they're under my control. They used to just stand there, and stare blankly into the distance, replying in a monotone voice.

But I've managed to make is so that they act completely like themselves, unless I order them too. So that when I just want a response, it's more like a truth quirk, not mind control. He's still going to forget what happened while he was under my control, but it's much more comfortable for everyone around us.

I release my control and Denki and I both give todoroki matching grins, while Midoriya continues rambling, not even having realised I used my quirk on him.

"If you don't do it by the end of the night I'm coming for you and I'm making you," I warn him.

"Don't do what?" Midoriya asks, confused.

"You'll find out," Denki teases.

"Come on Midoriya, let's see who else is here," he grabs Midoriya arm with a red face, and they walk away.

We suddenly hear some cheering and hooting behind us, and when we turn around, I see Bakugo and Kirishima kissing aggressively.

"I think it's safe to say that their relationship is working out," I comment, and Denki laughs.

"Did you hear they have like- 2 cats? I feel like it has something to do with Ground Zero's great reputation. First sports festival he was a douche, and then he magically became better tempered. Heaps of people think he went to anger management or something." I nod, and add to his words

"I think Kirishima has a roll in it as well. Just calming him down and showing him better thought processes. I'm surprised he's still together with Bakugo, the amount of shit he has to put up with."

Denki laughs.

"They really do love each other."

There are more hoots and cheers, and we move closer to see who's kissing now.

It's Todoroki and Midoriya.

"Didn't know Halfie would ever get the guts," Bakugo growls from beside us.

"Toshi kinda threatened him so..." Denki trails off, watching the two break apart. Midoriya's face is bright red, and he starts to laugh nervously.

"Hey Midoriya, will you go on a date with me?" I can only just hear him over the murmur of everyone around us. Instead of responding verbally, Midoriya just nods, and pulls Todoroki in for another kiss, causing another round of cheers.

"Wow," Kirishima states, "It's been a long fucking 6 years." Everyone laughs.

"6 whole years since we started UA huh..." I mumble.

"Doesn't feel that long ago."

"KAMI! YOU'RE UP, WHO YA GONNA KISS?" I hear a voice from the crowd call out, I think it was Mina.

Denki grins at me evilly, before grabbing my tie and pulling me down into a kiss, and everyone around us starts cheering again.

I pull away, red in the face. I'm not really used to PDA, and you can really tell when I hide my face behind my hands, and I hear some people laugh.

"You smooth fucker," I mumble to Denki.

It's done!!!
I literally can't believe I actually finished. This was my first fanfic, and I can't believe how many people liked it!

Most of my chapters are just over 1000 words long, although some were closer to 2000, and this one was a little shorter, so this novel is about 35 000 words. Thank you for all your support, you guys are amazing 🥺.

I'm also going to officially announce that the next fanfic I'll be writing will be a kiribakukami, soulmate AU. The next and final update of this book will be when I've finished a few chapters, with the summary of the book.

I'm also planning on actually planning what will happen, rather than having the improvised mess that writing this fanfic was.
