Chap 4~ A growing love?

I’m trying to be a better fanfic writer so I decided to write this today since I posted SITAD chapter 12 last week already. Alrightly, here goes chapter 4~

Your POV

The sunlight hit my face as I opened my eyes. I saw the sunrise right outside my window, the sun leaving the horizon, rising to the sky. I threw the blanket off me and got up. I stretched my arms, groaning. The ship seemed awfully quiet. I don’t think anyone else was up yet. I tiptoed out of my room and sulked around. I’m still not used to the Bounty. It’s huge and there are so many rooms. I passed by what I thought was Jay’s room and heard snoring. I giggled a bit and continued walking

I somehow found myself back to the kitchen where I first met Zane. There were dirty dishes in the sink and a note saying “Kai! It’s your turn to wash the dishes! -Cole”. Since I had nothing better to do, I grabbed a sponge and started scrubbing the dishes. It was all the plates from last night’s dinner. Kai owes me for this. I finished off dishes and threw the sponge back where I found it. I heard faint voices talking. I followed them and found Lloyd and Zane talking in the room where Kai and Cole were playing videogames yesterday. I guess they were up as well. They didn’t notice me and I hid behind the corner. I know it’s not good to eavesdrop but I couldn’t help myself so I plant my ear against the wall and listened.

“Thanks again Zane, I really can’t believe you convinced Sensei to let (y/n) stay here.” Lloyd said. “By the way, what did you whisper to Sensei to let her stay?”
Zane chuckled a bit. “I said you loved her.” I covered my mouth, trying to not to freak out. Loyd felt that way? “Y-You’re kidding right?” Lloyd stuttered. “No I’m not Lloyd. I don’t make jokes.  I’m sorry but I didn’t know how else I would convince him.” Zane said sternly. Lloyd sighed, “Its fine Zane, I’m just glad she gets to stay.” He said. I think I heard enough, my face was warm, I was blushing. I quietly tried walking back to my room but when I turned around, I knocked into a Cherry Blossom painting on the wall. It fell down, causing a loud thump.  I heard Lloyd and Zane run over my direction. “Are you ok?!” Lloyd said, looking all over me. “I’m fine, I think.” I replied. Zane picked up the painting and placed it back up on the wall. “What were you doing here (y/n)?” Zane asked. I had to think of something fast. “Er, I was wondering where the bathroom was…” I replied awkwardly. Luckily, they bought it. “Oh yeah! I should probably get you a toothbrush then.” Lloyd said. “Follow meeeeee!” he said happily, running off.

So after brushing my teeth or should I say fangs, all the Ninja had to go off and protect the city from danger blah-blah-blah and Lloyd said they’d be back around night-ish. Nya and Sensei were still at the Bounty so I wasn’t alone I guess. I’ve barely talked to Sensei but I have talked to Nya before so I guess we could chat. Nah, I’m too lazy. I plopped myself on the couch and stared blankly at the ceiling. Were Zane’s words true? Did Lloyd love me? I really doubt that, how could he love me? I’m a mess. Worse of all, he still doesn’t know I'm part serpentine.  But the question is… Do I feel the same? My thoughts were interrupted by Nya’s calm voice. “Hey (y/n), what’ cha doing?” she asked, sitting down on the couch. “Nothing much, I’m kinda bored so I’m just thinking.” I replied, my eyes still on the ceiling. “Same. The ninja always get to have fun while I’m stuck here. At least we can talk.” Nya said, playing with her hair. I raised an eyebrow. “About what?” I asked, confused. Nya giggled “Boys! What else?” she laughed. “Alright.” I said, smiling. “If you had to date any ninja, who would you date?” I asked. “Oh, I’m already dating Jay.” She said, blushing. I sat up from the couch. “No way!” I said. I haven’t had a girl talk in a while. Nya laughed “Yes way. And I’m guessing you like, hmmmmm, Lloyd?” she said. I blushed a bit “I-I don’t know. I mean, he’s sweet and funny and he basically saved my life and-“ I realized I was saying too much. “Sorry! I didn’t mean to go about all that!” I said, hiding my red face away from Nya. “It’s ok (y/n), I don’t mind. None of the guys ever tell me who they like and there are no other girls around to talk to about boys and Sensei doesn’t like talking about boys either.” Nya said. I laughed at the last part “Maybe Sensei does and he wants to keep it a secret…” I joked. We both laughed and talked for a while.

Time Skip CAUSE DEM SKYLOX FANFICS THAT’S WHY *shot* ((but seriously,  what is about to happen next I swear, it happens in every Skylox fanfic to ever exist)) ~

“We’re back!!!” Jay yelled, slamming the door open. It was around 7 when they came back. Dang, they’ve been gone for a while. They all headed to their rooms very quickly to change out of their ninja robes. They all came back and we all gathered in the living room. “So looks like it’s Friday, you know what that means?” Kai said smirking. “Weekend tomorrow?” I guessed. “Nope, it’s time for our weekly game of Truth or Dare!” Jay said, flinging his arms up. “What’s Truth or Dare?” I asked, confused. “It’s a game where we all sit in a circle and ask each other ‘Truth’ or ‘Dare’. If they pick truth, ask them a question and they have to answer. If they pick dare, dare them to something and they have to do it.” Cole answered. It kinda made sense, I’m still a bit confused but it sounded fun. “Let’s make this interesting, first one to chicken out has to do everyone’s laundry for the rest of the month!” Kai said, running his hands together. “Please don’t let Lloyd lose then. I rather not have my robes turn pink again…” Zane said. The ninja laughed. I don’t get it…

“Alright, I’ll try not to.” Lloyd said. “Take it easy on (y/n) though since she hasn’t played Truth or Dare with us before”. Kai nodded. “Ok I’ll go first, ummm, Jay truth or dare!” Lloyd said, pointing over to Jay. “Dare.” Jay said with a lot of confidence. Lloyd smirked “I dare you to… run around the Bounty wearing nothing but boxers.” Lloyd said, laughing like crazy.”But-But, it’s cold outside…” Jay whinned. Lloyd gve him a glare and pointed to the door. Jay swore then left the Bounty, throwing his clothes behind. We all laughed at his annoyed face. “Haha, alright while we wait for Jay ummmm, Zane truth or dare?” Kai said. “I do not wish to run in only boxers so truth.” Zane said. “Hmmmmmm… Would you rather die or eat Cole’s chille?” Kai asked. Zane stayed silent, processing the question then spoke “Wouldn’t it be the same either way?” he said. “HEY!” Cole said angerly. Kai fell over laughing and Zane gave him a confused look. “Cole, I was just stating facts…” Zane said, still confused. “AHAHAHAHA, it’s a fact Cole!” Kai said, laughing between every word. “Grrr, let’s move on, (y/n) truth or dare? Don’t worry, I’ll go easy on you.” Cole said, looking over to me.  I stuttered. Oh gosh, if I pick truth, he might do something related to Lloyd. He said he’d go easy so…. “Dare.” I said, ready to endure what was coming. “You sure? Nope, don’t answer that, you already picked dare. Hmmmm, I dare you to…. Ummmm… Kiss Lloyd on thy lips.” Cole said motioning over to Lloyd whos face was bright red. “H-Hey! I thought you were gonna go easy!” Lloyd yelled. I found myself blushing and turned away. Just do it (y/n), just do it, it’s just a dare… I grabbed Lloyd by the jacket he was wearing and plant my lips against his for abou 3 seconds and looked up at him. He was wide-eyed and blushing. I ran off into a different room, trying to get away from everyone, locking the dorr behind me. God, what have I done?
