"Mine"

"Teach me our song," Callie says. It was a Friday afternoon and no one would be home before midnight. We had the house to ourselves.

"You want to learn our song?" I turn my head to look at her. We were sitting on the grass in the backyard, laying down next to each other just holding hands.

Callie turns so she can see my face through her beautiful brown eyes and for a second I forget what we're talking about.

"Well, yeah," she whispers, and she strokes the back of my hand with her thumb. "I want to learn the song that my one true love wrote for me," she says with a shy smile.

I smile so big that the dimples in my cheeks are visible, which rarely happens. "One true love, huh?" I ask her as I turn my body to the side, bringing my free hand up to push the hair out of her face.

"Of course. I love you, Brandon. So so much. Don't ever doubt that." She smiles and I kiss her smile.

She giggles and it's the best sound in the world. I love knowing I'm the reason for her smiles and laughs.

She's light with happiness and it makes me happy.

"You should do that more often," I tell her. She looks at me with a confused face, although I still see a hint of smile in the corner of her mouth.

"Do what?" she asks.

"Smile. Laugh. Happy is a good look on you, Callie," I whisper as my fingers touch her lips just slightly.

"You're the reason I'm happy. Thank you for loving me," she says slowly.

"I always will." I kiss her forehead and slowly get up from my position on the grass and stand in front of her with my arms held out.

"Come on you goof, let's go play our song." She smiles wide and I pull her up from the grass.

She starts walking in front of me and I run up behind her and start tickling her.

In an instant she's laughing like crazy and I never wanna make her stop. My only goal is to keep her as happy as she is in this moment.

Her laugh turns into a squeal as I wrap one of my arms around her waist and spin her around.

"B-Brandon," she tries to speak in between laughs. "Put me down!"

I keep twirling her around until I know it's too much.

I put her down and if it weren't for my hand on the small of her back holding her up, she would've fallen to the grass.

Callie wraps her arms around my neck and leans her forehead against mine, her eyes closed, a smile still on her face.

"I love you, Brandon. I love you," she whispers against my lips.

"I love you, Callie. More than anything in this world." And with that I press my lips to hers.

Callie's POV

We're sitting in Brandon's room behind the beads where his keyboard is, and I watch him as he plays Outlaws.

He said that in order for me to learn how to play correctly, I had to hear the full song once and then learn the chords afterward.

The whole time he's playing, he's singing quietly. He thinks I can't hear but he's wrong. I'm singing along with him in my head.

When he gets to the end of the song, I sing out loud.

"I'll love you every day and every day."
