Finally, Lily's face brightened. "Come on!" She said. "We've got some time to kill and I have something in mind."
"Seriously?!" Katherine gasped excitedly like a small child with a brand new toy. "A frozen lake? We're skating?" Lily giggled affectionately.
"In a manner of speaking, we are." She said smiling.
"I've always wanted to do this!" Katherine squealed happily. Lily shrugged.
"I thought you might like it." She said, still smiling. "Are you ready?" Katherine nodded, but her feet felt slightly numb. She had waited so long for a happy moment like this, a moment where she was free to make her own decisions without consent from anyone. Now a happy moment was happening RIGHT NOW and it was making her a little nervous. As Lily carefully edged her way onto the ice, Katherine still felt numb. "I'll help you! You can do it." Her sister said, sensing Katherine's nerves. She steadied herself and held out her arms. Katherine took a breath, then relaxed as Lily slowly helped her onto the ice.
Time dragged by and it was as if the two sisters had known and been playing on the ice for years, not minutes and they were so comfortable around each other. That's what's going to make this so enjoyable, thought the mysterious person as they watched the two sisters with a smirk, although their gaze was fixed on one of the two sisters in particular. When the person thought they'd had enough of watching them, they started to wander away, but they were thinking one last thought. Soon, I will make my move.
