Within minutes, the villain was taken away and Lily was left unharmed. Then, the family could again, focus on happier times. The two sisters weren't to be apart because of fear ever again.
In their bedroom that evening, Lily came and sat contently beside her sister, wrapping an arm around her as they both watched the stars dancing in the sky.
"Are you happy?" Katherine asked quietly, nuzzling into Lily's shoulder. That one question held a million questions, but Lily knew what she was going to say, without even having to think about it. She gently pulled Katherine closer to her and pressed her lips to her forehead with consideration and care.
"I am." Lily asked, her voice equally as soft. "I really am."
