He slowly made his way out of his dark hiding spot and dusted himself off. This man had been in that spot for a while, lying in wait, hoping that the family he had been looking for would come. And now, they had.

He had often thought about them for many years since the incident, had remembered the fear in the eyes of the two parents when they'd come home to find him threatening their two precious daughters, particularly the eldest daughter, who was, to this man, a worthless freak. She didn't deserve anyone's love. These thoughts kept whirring around his head as his sharp eyes fell on his prey.

The oldest daughter, Lily.

The man carefully followed the family, then, once he believed enough time had passed by, he lunged forward and grabbed the girl. Sensing danger, Lily's smile faded and she felt her body tense up with fear. She squirmed, trying to pull away, but her captor's grip was iron tight. "Get off me!" Lily cried.

"You're not going anywhere, freak." Her captor said nastily.

"Hey! Leave my daughter! Right now!"

He turned, wrenched Lily close to him and finally let her parents see his face.

Mum and Dad's faces went pale with recognition. It was the robber who had broken in all those years ago, the one who was against acceptance of people like Lily. After all these years, he had come back.

"N-no, how did you find us?!"

He smirked. "You really thought I'd keep my promise didn't you? You both thought I wouldn't come back and finally deal with your useless, good for nothing  excuse for a daughter? You really thought keeping them separated would be the answer? Honestly, you're both more pathetic than I first thought."

The evil man pulled a knife and aimed it at Lily's throat.

"You know nothing about my sister." Katherine said, advancing on him, her gaze hard, her voice ice cold. "Her flaws and her conditions are all a part of who she is. I am pretty damn proud  that she is my sister, so if you can't accept that, then the only who's pathetic is you!"

The man's eyes blazed with fury, hearing these words. He tightened his grip roughly on Lily and was perhaps about to do some harm, when business like shouts echoed around.

Help had come.
