Your Perspective

The U.A sports festival is in a week, so what better time to practice my competition clowning than training my quirk? I made my way down to the training room in order to practice my quirk. Managed to get permission from my teacher too, so I'm in the clear when it comes to that. I was so engrossed in my thoughts that I bumped into someone.

Sandy Blonde: Hey WATCH IT, Dumbass!

I looked up at the kid, recognizing him as someone from Class 1-A, and gave a disinterested sigh.

You: Yeah, whatever.

I got changed into my PE uniform once arriving in the changing rooms and head inside the fairly expansive room. Right as I enter, a piece of rock is sent flying past me. I narrowly dodged it and yelled at whoever caused that and saw that it was Kendou. She glanced back, glared, and walked away, presumably to get some water. I took my place and started practicing by using my quirk to lift up up some of the cracked cement floors and levitated it, before trying to mold it into something. I'm still working on that since, despite my skill, I can't construct things well yet. I decided I'd make a statue of a sword in a stone. I had already used my quirk a fair bit today, so it might act up. But the more I practice through the migraines, the more the pain threshold increases.

You: Cmon . . .

I felt a throbbing pain in my head, but I kept whittling away at the cement. Eventually, the pain became unbearable, causing me to drop the blocks onto the ground and fall to my knees. Swill not good enough.

You: Dammit. Still can't get that under control. Alright, no matter, let’s try that again.

I tried to reactivate my quirk, but all I ended up doing was making it worse.

Crap, that hurts!

I felt somebody kneel next to me and present me a cup of something.

Kendou: Here. Caffeinated drinks help with migraines.

You: . . . thank you, Kendou.

Kendou: Don't mention it.

I glanced up at Kendou who had an odd expression on her face. Like she was conflicted about something. Then, a feeling began to rise within me as she walked away. I . . . I feel guilty for how I treated her. But why now of all times? Maybe the fact that . . . no, shake the thought out of your head, (L/N).

You: Maybe . . . a short break is in order. . .

I got back up and shook my head, smacking my cheeks to get the thought out of my mind a focus. Deciding to take a break, I leaned against the wall as Kendou went back out and resumed her training. Slowly sipping on the coffee i was given, whilst watching Kendou practice. Her quirk is an odd one, but she's good at using it practically. Retreating back into my thoughts. Maybe this sports festival is my chance to prove to my father that I've come far.

Kendou: Hey, the training grounds are closing up. You might want to leave.

You: Already? ~sigh~ And I was trying to stall coming home to him.

Kendou gave me a concerned look before rolling her eyes and leaving. I left the training grounds and my way out of the U.A for the day.
