Your Perspective

(M/N): Oh, look at you (Y/N)! You're going on your first date!

I finished putting on my hoodie and nodded. My mom patted me on the head, causing my face to redden. I'm going to meet Kendou at a cafe today, so I'm going to try and meet up with her. Father hasn't been so happy so mother gave me permission to head out. I thanked her for her help and she ushered me out of the door, wishing me good luck with my "girlfriend".

You: Wait, she's not my-

The door closed on my face. Sighing, I took out my phone using it as a navigator to get to the cafe. A few minutes of walking later, I recognized where I was, and decided I no longer needed my phone so I stowed it away.

You: Okay, I see it up ahead. A little late, but I'm certain she'll understand.

Entering the establishment, I scanned the store until I saw a familiar person looking outside the window. She spots me out of the corner of her and smiles, turning to face me as I sit at the table.

Kendou: Hey.

You: Hello.

Kendou: You look nice.

You: Y-You t-too.

Kendou: Not used to compliments huh?

Letting out a sigh, I confirm her suspicions. Kendou gives me a soft smile before it slowly faded when she looked at my arm. It's still healing up, so I still have it in a cast for now. That explosion kid really did a number on it. I told Kendou that she didn't have to worry about my arm and that it would be fine. Kendou looks at me for a bit before smiling again.

Kendou: If you say so. Just don't overexert yourself, okay?.

You: Pssh, I'm taking it easy enough already.

Kendou: Are you though? I see you still trying

You: S-Shut up, will you?

Kendou: ~laughs~ Tokage was right, you are a tsundere. But that’s what makes you . . . you. I wouldn't change that. Well apart from how horrible you were before.

You: Yes, please continue to remind me, it makes me feel better.

Kendou: Sarcasm aside, what made you change?

You: Well, I may have met somebody that . . . I care about a lot. Someone I could open up to. In time I realized I could open up to others. She changed me for the better. I’m indebted to her, I suppose.

Silence remained for a few minutes before Kendou gave me a goofy smile. I looked away from her.

You: I never said it was you did I?

Kendou: Well, you make it fairly obvious.

You: Touche.

The waiter finally comes by. She recognizes me from the sports festival and congratulates me on doing so well. I thanked her and asked what the two of us wanted to order. Kendou got some coffee and I got a green tea milkshake. The waiter left, leaving us alone for a bit, but fairly quickly returned with our orders.

You: Hey, Kendou? I'm going, to be honest . . . I'm not sure how long this idyllic relation- friendship of ours will last.

Kendou took a slurp of her coffee before asking why.

You: Well, I'm afraid what my father will do. I don't want him to end up doing anything to-

Kendou: Hey, hey, hey, we don't need to worry about it now, okay? Everything will work out. Trust me.

Staring at her for a bit, I couldn't help but smile.

You: I'll trust you on that then, Kendou.

Kendo and I clinked cups, before returning to more lighthearted topics. Monoma's antics, Class 1-B, Courses in General, Which Heroes we would be shadowing, and other topics. I paid for the treat and we made our way out of the cafe and just began walking around. We stopped in front of a beach as the sun was setting.

Kendou: Woah, that's really pretty.

You: Yeah it is.

Kendou took a deep breath and turned to me. I picked up on her sudden awkwardness, turning to her with a little concern.

You: Kendou?

Kendou: (L/N), there’s something I want to tell you.

You: Permission granted.

Kendou: ~chuckles~ I should have expected that from you. Actually, I think it would be better for me to show you.

You: What do you mean by that-

I felt a pair of lips smash into mine. Kendou wrapped her arms around me as our kiss deepened, with us getting a little tongue action too. We pulled away from each other, with Kendou smiling happily at me. She laces her fingers with mine before looking at me with the emerald eyes that I've come to love. A smile forms across her face and mine.

Kendou: So, about time huh?

You: Yeah. I'm not complaining.

Kendou: That’s a first.

You: Oh shush will you?
