The next morning was hectic. All campers were preparing their weapons and repairing their armor. Campers from Camp Jupiter arrived in waves by pegasi, cars, trains, or planes.

I found Annabeth in the Big House going over the plans and strategies for the oncoming battle. She and Caleb were hunched over a map of camp and arguing angrily.

"Hey, what's wrong?" I put an arm around Annabeth.

She leaned into me and huffed angrily. "He is disagreeing with me."

Caleb snorted. "Oh, big deal. It's not against the law to disagree with you."

Annabeth threw my arm off and got in his face. "You might be okay with a terrible strategy and losing the oncoming war, but I'm not."

I watched them banter for a few more minutes until both of their faces were beet red. I held up a hand for silence.

They continued to argue.

I frowned. This isn't Chaos' planet anymore; nobody knows and will obey my silent commands. I sighed and took a deep breath.

"Please be quiet!"

They continued to argue as if I was never there.

I growled internally.

"SHUT UP!" I shouted.

They both stopped, looked at me and blinked. I stared back. Annabeth and Caleb glanced-no, glared- at each other before they open their mouths to argue again.

"Please don't," I interjected. "Let me hear both of your plans. Maybe we can have a... compromise."

"Caleb thinks we should use the gorilla warfare like the Vietnam troop did. Which isn't one of the-"

"Of course we should! All of the campers know this area like the back of their hand. Why not use if to our advantage?" Caleb cut in causing Annabeth to shoot daggers at him.

"That is a good point," I mused.

"They won't have any back up or anywhere to flee when Cronos' army discovers then," She stressed.

"That's another good point. How about this? They could hide in the trees and pick off the monsters from there. Then, when danger is close, the dryads an transport them to another tree or to the rest of us. We can send Jax to lead them," I suggested.

They both mulled it over. Caleb nodded in approval while Annabeth reluctantly agreed.

"Awesome." I rubbed my hands together. "Now we just need someone to tell the dryads about the plan."

"Not it," Caleb and Annabeth said in unison.

I groaned.

Caleb shrugged. "Sorry, bro."

Twenty minutes later, I walked out of the forest with scratches made by branches and leaves in my hair.

"Hey, man. What happened to you?" Luke spoke while smothering a snicker.

"Dryads," I muttered and pucker a stray leaf out of my hair.

"Why did you need to talk to them?"

I explained Caleb's plan to them. They both nodded thoughtfully.

"I'll lead them, being an elf and all that," Jax offered. I grinned and patted him on the back.

"Exactly what I was hoping for, bud."

"What do we do now?" I asked.

Luke shrugged and said, "We wait."

* * * * *

The moments leading up to an attack and a battle are the most intense. Infact, I think it's more intense than the battle itself. Your minds starts to wander and you think, what if I don't make it out alive? Those thoughts messes with you and screws you up. That is exactly why Chaos taught us to ignore and block them out.

"We are about to enter a war and you guys are playing Uno?" Annabeth voiced her and everyone else's thoughts with disbelief. Luke grunted at laid out a card.

"I hate you," I mumbled and grabbed four card out of the pile. Jax snickered.

"All's fair is love and war, Percy." Luke crowed, but his face dropped in disappointment when Jax's card made him take two cards.

Annabeth threw her hands up in the air. "Speaking of war, do you even have your weapons?"

"Uhhh, yeah. They're right over there." Jax pointed at a random spot near the trees.

"Happy now, mom?"

"No, Luke, I am not happy. You know why? Because your weapons aren't there."

We all glanced at the spot Jax pointed to. Turns out, Annabeth was right. Our weapons weren't there.

"Hey, Annabeth, you're right! We better go get them. Shall we continue this game later?" With that, Luke and Jax ran off towards the cabins.

"Don't worry, Wise Girl. I've got mine." I smiled widely at her. Annabeth's face softened and she sat down beside me. I watched her as she plucked blades of grass out of the ground.

"What are you going to do when the wars over?" She asked, feigning nonchalance.

I leaned back on my elbows. "I don't know."

Stormy grey eyes pierced into mine. An internal flashback happened and I thought back to the day when she fed me some nectar and said I drooled. I grinned at her and threw a piece of grass at Annabeth. It hit her nose. She crinkled her nose.

"Tell me." A pause. "Please?"

"I guess we'll have to wait and see right?"

"You drive me nuts. You know-"

The horn blew.

We both scrambled up. I made my swords manifest while Annabeth pulled hers out. A swarm of monsters rise over the hill, yelling war cries and waving weapons. Some had swords while others used claws. Some had poison dripping from its fangs while others had body armor. But they all have the same intent. To kill us. And they were all lead by Kronos himself.

The army stopped once they reached the barrier.

"You have the chance to surrender immediately, which I doubt you will do," Kronos yelled from above. The monsters cheered.

"We will never surrender to you! We will scatter your ashes!" Chiron bellowed. We all cheered at his words.

"You are still puny, son. How will you ever win this war? My army outnumbers yours, you do not have a hero to defend you, and the gods are not here. You will bow down to me!" Kronos' calm expression only held arrogance.

I grit my teeth in annoyance and step up. "I have often heard the phrase, Don't count the chickens before they hatch." Surprise then anger flitted across Kronos' face. "You should take it into consideration. Am I right, Luke?"

Luke walked up beside me and grinned. "So right."

"You are a traitor! You deserve to die! Luke Castellan, mark my words, you will be the irate to be slain on this battlefield. My scythe will relish the taste if your blood." Kronos pointed the said weapon at him. He seethed in anger. If this was a cartoon, steam would come out of his ears.

"Whoa, that's a bit dark isn't it? I guess we'll see about that," Luke replied.

"Yes, we shall," Kronos pointed at a monster. "Take down the barrier."

A monster stepped forward and sprinkled some dust on the barrier. It muttered a few words in some foreign language. The barrier collapsed and the monster promptly turned into dust.

A sinister smile crept onto Kronos' face. "Charge!"

And Kronos' army charged.

Please excuse the grammatical issues. I was too lazy to fix it all. I don't have much to say in this authors note so I hope you enjoyed it.
