TALK TO HIM.

"Where should we eat?" Kit asks his friends as they walk the wide corridor of their faculty's building. Their class just ended and lunch came.

"Should we try the new burger store near Engineering's faculty?" Phana asks both glancing at his two friends.

"Yeah. You're in, Beam?" Kit asks the quiet man beside him. He slowly divert his gaze to Beam and frown, nudging Phana on his side to call his attention to look at their strange friend. Phana swiftly avert his gaze from the corridor and glance at Beam, who still looking from nowhere. The young man was frowning, his lips were tight closed, jaw was clenching and his eyes was full of agony. Both of his friends, sigh - making a harmonious sound of annoyance and sympathy.

Beam was quiet since last week, after the day of Ming's birthday. He didn't talk a lot nor try to tease his friends for a week now and the two young men beside him, knows why. It's because of Forth, definitely, because of him. After that night, Phana asked Beam of what happened, and the latter retorted only with a smile that didn't reached his eyes and they knew already that Beam got scared again about his feelings. Phana and Kit wanted to ask the young man more but, they knew it would only Beam hurt more.

"Beam?" Phana calls again, but the pale skinned man seems like he's in his own world. He didn't budge in, just keep walking while his hands are inside his pant's pockets.

Phana sigh, he's getting annoy of his friend's stupidness and strangeness. He can't take it anymore, he halts his feet's movements and hold Beam's shoulder tightly. The latter immediately stop his movements and gaze at Phana, who's standing behind him. He frown, confusedly look at his friend and once he saw his eyes, he knew he's gonna beat him up by their same questions.

"I'm okay. You two, don't have to worry." He said and try to smile, giving the two guys an assurance. Phana who still gripping on his shoulder, didn't budge or say anything, letting the man knows that he didn't buy of he had said. He knew Beam enough, he's not okay, and never will be, if he let himself always drown in pain.

Beam sigh as he close his eyes for a second, trying to calm himself. He glance at Phana again, take the latter's hand from his shoulder and take it off from him. " Pha-"

"Why can't you just say it to him?" Phana hisses as he cut Beam's words. His eyebrows knotted, showing that he is enough of his friend being frightened of the answers all the time. He wants to help him, to get him out from misery and agony. He wanted to help but of course, it's all up to Beam, if he let himself to get out from that trouble by accepting his defeat or by telling Forth the truth. He lock his gaze at his friend, waiting for his answer even though, he's hundred percent sure what response he will get.

Beam on the other hand, stop his hand that holding Phana's hand, from removing it from his shoulder. He was halted because of that same question. Beam's eyes, slowly divert from Phana to his feet, avoiding those questioning eyes. He didn't know what to answer nor to do, he just wanted to think more carefully. He doesn't want to end up in a miserable state again.

"You know my answer, Pha." Beam answers and shrugs the latter's hand, walk away from the place not knowing where to go. He just wanted to be alone, to think furthermore. After all this time, he's the one who should save himself.

Thursday afternoon was just such as same as before. Students from different faculties are getting busier for their upcoming events and exams as the first semester starting to fade. University life is indeed not easy, but worth it to experience.

Forth's last class ended a while ago, and now walking on a cold small road of their faculty through the parking lot. He was dead tired today. Well, having a report and laboratory activity at the same time are indeed can kill you at the end. His hands on his pant's pocket and carrying his bag on his left shoulder.
