"There's a place that opened up not too far from here. Have you heard about it, Pigsy?" Tang, the well informed Monkey King fanatic, asked his friend. Pigsy raised an eyebrow at him.
"I don't remember hearing about anything opening up near here. What's this new place called?" He responded, Tang pointed to his laptop and motioned for the demon to take a closer look.
Pigsy squinted at the bright screen, reading the news article that Tang presented to him. The news article's headline read:
'NEW IHOP OPENS ITS DOORS TO THE PUBLIC AT XXXXXX.'
"What's IHOP?" Pigsy asked, looking at Tang for an answer. Tang shrugged, adjusting his large frammed glasses back onto the center of his nose.
"Some kind of weird breakfast joint." He answered.
Pigsy went over to the entrance of the noodle shop, turning the sign so that it said 'CLOSED' on the outside of the door.
"We should go and see the place so we can scope out my possible competition!" Pigsy's eyes burned brightly with competitiveness, hanging up his apron and his chef hat on a nearby hanger.
Tang smirked, closing down his laptop and getting up. "And I assume you know how to get there?" He questioned with a raised eyebrow.
Pigsy stood in place for a minute, lost in thought. He then smiled widely as he pulled out his trusty phone, opening it up and searching for the IHOP that recently opened in their area.
"According to this GPS, it's right here." He said, showing Tang his phone's screen.
Tang stared at the screen and frowned. "But that's six hours away!"
Pigsy opened the door and took out his key rack. He pushed a button on his car keys and unlocked his car.
"We're driving for six hours then."
It had only been thirty minutes since they left the noodle shop. Tang was complaining about how long they've been on the road for, while Pigsy pretended to listen to him. He was secretly jamming out to his current playlist in his earphones.
"Hey, are you even listening to me?" Tang raises his voice above Pigsy's music, causing the pig demon to take one of his earphones out.
"Of course I was listening, I was just waiting for you to stop speaking so I could reply."
Tang deadpanned and crossed his arms.
"What did I say then?"
Pigsy started sweating like they were in the desert. "You.. uh.. you said..."
Pigsy then sighed.
"Okay okay, I wasn't listening to a single word you were saying just now."
Tang rolled his eyes before drawing Pigsy's attention to the car's fuel. "The car's nearing empty. I was saying that we should head over to a gas station soon."
Pigsy snorted. "Tang, why pay for gas when you can just store needless amounts of it in your trunk?"
The master chief parked the car on the side of the road before exiting it, motioning for Tang to do the same. When both men were out of the car, they went to the back of it and Pigsy opened the trunk.
Inside the trunk was a seemingly endless amount of gasoline canisters and Chang'e merch.
"Um, isn't this dangerous?" Tang asked, looking at Pigsy worried.
"The canisters or the merch?"
"The canisters, Pigsy! Aren't you suppose to, I don't know, NOT have this many because they're dangerous after a certain period of time or something?" Tang asked, his voice cracking a bit.
