"Kookie, kiss me please." Taehyung said hurriedly, not wanting Jungkook to pick up his phone.
"Just a sec, baby. Let me take this." Oblivious to the earlier missed calls, Jungkook reached for his phone, frowning immediately.
"Hello? Yes- oh." Jungkook instantly looked at Taehyung who fiddled in his lap.
"Right, I'm sorry. Yes, yes I'll pick it up, on my way." Jungkook muttered, ending the call.
"Tae, why didn't you tell me that they called for me? Did you turn my phone into silent mode?" Jungkook shot question after question, face morphing into a deeper frown.
"Kookie...."
"Did you Taehyung?"
"Yes, I did. I didn't want you to go. You were so tired yesterday and-"
"I'm completely fine Taehyung. Thank you very much and don't interfere in my work from now on."
"Kookie, listen-" Taehyung's eyes widened as Jungkook let go of his hand, moving upstairs to the bedroom, completely ignoring the boy who he was kissing merely minutes back.
Taehyung closed his eyes frustrated; breaths shaky. He was feeling wonderful a moment ago and now he was back to square one, the same in-growing frustration brewing. Again.
Jungkook is just exhausted, he wouldn't have meant it. He loves me.
Taehyung assured himself, sighing and running hands through his hair. Jungkook is the sweetest person Taehyung knows and he was sure his boyfriend didn't mean anything he said.
The oven rang in the kitchen, distracting Taehyung from the spiraling thoughts.
He walked to the sound, pretending to act cool like those words didn't affect him, even though his hands were quivering, mind only focused on the words Jungkook used.
Taehyung placed the food on the table and heard heavy footsteps down the stairs. He quickly served the food, fixating himself in serving so he could try to forget what just happened.
"Koo-" Before Taehyung could begin, the door was shut.
Taehyung stood frozen, eyes staring at the door in shock. His heart ached so painfully as if an arrow pierced right in.
Jungkook had never ignored him this way, never in all those years they spent together, was he really that mad?
He held onto the table for support, hands turning white from the grip. He was holding in, piling it up day after day.
The meaning of the tears reflected in the mirror
My color hidden with a smile, blue and grey.
Taehyung bit onto his lips from trembling but all of it broke down like a burst of stream that day, his already painted self breaking more.
This didn't seem like his Jungkook anymore. It was as if Taehyung didn't even matter anymore to him.
