The tears wouldn't stop when Jungkook slumped to the ground, broken inside their empty bedroom. Taehyung had prepared so much for him but he didn't even acknowledge it, let alone appreciate.
Jungkook always relished in showering Taehyung with lots of love- spoiling him with his gifts. He wanted to be successful in life just so his Tae can live a content life.
Little did he realise that, in order to give him a perfectly content life, he needed to give himself for Taehyung.
The flashbacks buzzed in and out, his palpating heart pounding in his ear as he sat in the same room where he exchanged promise rings with Taehyung, made love and planned their future on the bed.
The weather was a bit cold but the man swore he felt the sweat build up in his forehead.
He walked into the store he had been visiting frequently the whole week. That was the day he would finally see the result of a week's work.
"Welcome sir, how may I help you?"

"Jungkook- Jeon Jungkook." Jungkook corrected himself. The staff nodded politely and walked in to check, leaving him alone.
He was excited, nervous, dying to see how the rings turned out. The idea had been in his mind for quite a while, given the fact that they had been together for almost four years now.
"Thank you for waiting sir. Allow me to show you the rings."
Jungkook nodded and sat up straight, a red slab placed in front for him to have a better look of his order.

Jungkook somehow managed to get his initials through his boyfriend's handwriting. It worked when he sat down with him, doodling constant cute letters of 'tae' in a paper during a lazy afternoon. Jungkook knew that his boy would automatically write 'kook' alongside it.
Sappy but it worked.
Smiling at the memory, Jungkook took a closer look at the rings, they turned out to be so beautiful and just the way he wanted them.
