Sakura's POV
The hospital forced me to take leave, apparently staying for two weeks straight wasn't healthy. So here I am on one months leave. I sighed as I sat in my apartment then an idea popped into my head, "I know, I'll annoy Naruto for a month he won't mind." I said as I got up from my couch.
Everyone I walked past on the streets waved at me, I was highly respected due to my position at the hospital and I also am a war hero but I didn't deserve that title. Sasuke came into my mind again, I can't deny the feelings I still have for him even if he is married. Just about everyone from our group had found someone to love, except for Naruto and me, even Shino has a girlfriend!
Naruto's POV
Someone knocked on my door, probably another fan girl, I really gotta move houses I have the finances to do so. I walked over and opened the door, it was Sakura!
"Hey Naruto." She said smiling, I loved her smile it made me happy.
"Hey Sakura-chan!" I replied back grinning.
"Come in." I stepped to the side and closed the door behind her.
"Shouldn't you be at work?" I asked her.
"Yeah, but the hospital forced me to take leave apparently I work too much." She replied, she always thought of others before herself one of the many things I liked about her.
"So your first thought was to come over and watch me study?" I said, Kakashi had given me many, many books, scrolls and various papers to help prepare me for the Hokage position.
"Yep! But really do you wanna grab something eat? No ramen though!" She said.
"Awwww, Sakura-chan you're no fun." I said sadly.
We both left my apartment and Sakura said she would take me to her favourite cafe. We got there, sat down and ordered.
Sakura's POV
Naruto was explaining his most recent mission, I continued to stare into his bright blue eyes I'd never noticed how beautiful they were until now. Wait. Could I be? No I couldn't be. I was disrupted from my thought as the waiter came over and handed us our tea and food.
"Mmm, Sakura this is really good!" Naruto said with a mouth full of food.
"Did anyone ever teach you manners?" I said pointing to his mouth, he chewed the rest of his food and swallowed it.
"Sorry Sakura." He said.
"It's okay, just helping you out so you don't make that mistake in front of your future girlfriend." I said.
Out of the blue Naruto asked, "So Sakura got your eyes on anyone?" I nearly spat out my tea when he said this.
"Uh, not really. How about you?" I said really fast.
"Not really, the girl I like isn't interested." Deep down I hoped that he still liked me. Wait what? This can't be happening.
We finished our tea and food in silence, paid and left.
We walked a while chatting a little bit and found our way to the top of the Hokage monument. The view was as beautiful as always, I glanced over to Naruto and I could feel myself blushing a bit.
