New Feelings

Chapter 3

Naruto's POV

"Crap! Sakura will be here soon and I'm only in boxers!" I instantly ran to my room and heard a knock at the door.
"Shadow Clone Jutsu." I summoned a clone and it ran to the door.

I walked out two minutes later and the clone dispelled.

"Naruto, why did you send a clone?" Sakura asked me.

"I had to uh get dressed." I said.

"Seriously? It's twelve pm and you still haven't changed? Naruto you need to start taking responsibility for these things if you're going to become hokage." She scolded me.

After about an hour of Sakura teaching me proper manners and all that stuff she finally started to help me study. She was actually a really big help, she said everything I didn't understand in a way that I would know what she was talking about.

"Sakura-chan?" I looked over at her and she was sleeping.

"Guess I gotta take her to the bed." I slowly and gently picked her up and walked to my bedroom, I gently placed her down and pulled the covers over her.

Sakura's POV

I shot up from sleeping after I heard a metal pan drop. "Where am I?" I thought to myself, then I realised I was in Naruto's room. I must've fell asleep and he took me here, how thoughtful of him.

I slowly got up and walked out to the kitchen/living room.

"Hope you didn't do anything perverted while I was asleep." I said playfully to Naruto.

"Sakura-chan!" He jumped, must've scared him.

"I would never do anything like that Sakura-chan I'm not like Pervy Sage." He said.

"Sure, sure." I said playfully again.

"You better not be making instant ramen." I said to him.

"No, I've decided I'll cook a proper dinner for you Sakura-chan, you were a big help for studying after all." He said to me, a light blush appeared on his face.

I walked up to him and hugged him, I don't know why I did it, my body just moved on it's own.

"S-Sakura-chan are y-you okay?" He barely managed to speak.

"I'm thanking you, you idiot." I playfully hit his arm as I broke off the hug. His light blush had turned to a deep red one.

"I'll let you start cooking dinner now." I walked over to lounge and sat down, I turned on the tv.

Occasionally I'd glance over to Naruto, he really was trying his best to cook me a nice dinner. Thirty minutes later he placed the two plates of food on the dining table, I got up and walked over to the table.

"Naruto this looks amazing !" I exclaimed.

"Thanks Sakura-chan, I really tried hard to make it good." He said nervously scratching the back of his head as he sat down.

I took the first bite and it was better than anything I've ever had before.

"Naruto, you'd make a really good husband one day." Crap, did I really just say that.

"Oh jeez, uhh t-thanks S-Sakura-chan." He smiled awkwardly at me and turned red.

We ate the rest of dinner in silence, not an awkward silence more like a pleasant silence. I got up and took both of our plates and went to wash up, I got stopped by Naruto.

"I'll do it." He said to me.

"Okay." He really would make a great husband.

We stood there talking about upcoming mission and whatnot whilst he did the dishes.

Naruto's POV

I finished with the dishes and we both sat down on the lounge, continuing our talk from before.

"It's getting kind of late, I should go home now." Sakura said, the loneliness started to set in.

"Naruto? Are you okay?" Crap, she noticed.

"Yeah I'm fine!" I said giving her a smile.

"Narutooo, don't you lie to me." She said grabbing one of my hands.

"I-It's nothing Sakura-chan, I-I'll be right." I said.

Sakura pulled me into a hug, what is up with her recently? Does she like me? No that's impossible she's never liked me before. I'm overthinking it, she's just being a good friend.

"N-Naruto, I c-can stay the night. Only if you want me to though!" Sakura said nervously.

"I'll be okay Sakura." I said sadly, breaking off the hug.

"Naruto. I'm gonna stay the night." Sakura said.

"You really don't have to Sakura." I said.

"Somethings obviously up, is it an issue if I just wanna help my best friend feed better?" Sakura said sternly.

"No it's not an issue." I said.

Sakura pulled me into another hug and her hand rubbed my back, I would be lying if I said I didn't enjoy this.

"T-Thank you Sakura." I said quietly.

Sakura's only response was tightening the hug, warmth flowed through my body.

Sakura's POV

I knew something was up with him, he has an emotional mask on. He's hiding his feelings for some reason. I really wish he would just talk to me about these things. I broke off the hug.

"Naruto, please, let me know what's wrong." I said.

Naruto broke down into tears, he broke down.
He laid down and put his head on my lap, his tears soaking through my undershorts. I ran my fingers through his hair, it seemed to calm him down.

"It's just so lonely. I can't stand it anymore Sakura. The person I was closest to died, and both my parents did as well." Naruto said through his tears.

"Naruto, you still have people close to you. What about me? I can help you no matter what's going on." I said to him, I didn't really know what much else to say.

Naruto continued crying on my lap, he stopped crying and fell asleep. I picked him up and took him to his bed, when I tried to walk away he grabbed my arm and pulled my onto the bed. I would usually hit him but he needed someone right now and I am that someone.
