Newt, Tina, Lilac, and Theseus trudged off through the cold to a narrow alleyway; where they disapparated. But, Lilac could've sworn she felt a hand tightly grasp her ankle and when they reappeared, they were not at Hogwarts. They were on a mountain side in front of a castle structure. Lilac heard a struggling-for-air kind of gasp and looked over to see that Newt had been splinched at the arm and was sitting up against the rocks for support.

Lilac spun around to see that someone was scurrying into the castle. She had a feeling that was the person who brought them there. Where ever there was?

Suddenly, Lilac felt her feet leave the ground and her ability to breath was going away. She looking down at Tina, Theseus, and Newt; who were trying to stop whoever was killing her.

A voice broke everything "Stop fighting there's no use!"

Lilac looked down again. Tina was being held to the ground "Queenie! Please!" Tina cried.

Lilac felt her eyes start to close, but she forced them open again. She can't close her eyes. Not when she could die.

"No! I'm not the one lying, Tina!" Queenie must've strengthened her concentration, because Lilac started gasping for more air "Ask "Jane"! Maybe she'll finally tell the truth!"

Lilac felt around her sleeve. When she found her wand, she struggled as she said "Not......likely!" she pointed her wand at some rocks "Bombarda!"

Queenie lost her concentration and Lilac fell to the ground. Tina picked her up and carried her to the side. Looking down at Lilac, she asked "What did she mean by that?"

Lilac struggled to sit up. There was a pain in her head from hitting her head on the rock. She looked at Tina "My name's not Jane Aspen." Lilac saw Tina's confusion and she went on "It's Lilac Scamander."

Tina looked up at Newt and Theseus "Who-?" Lilac opened her mouth to say something, but a blast interrupted her. Tina looked at her "On second thought, your answer might have to wait."

Tina ran off and Lilac heard her shout "Protego!"

When Lilac looked around the rock, Newt had been healed and he, Tina, and Theseus were throwing spells at Queenie and two other acolytes. Lilac ducked behind the rock again as Queenie shot a spell at her head. She looked square on into the face of the little girl she met on the boat. Her eyes went wide as she watched. Suddenly, a spell carefully, but firmly sent her back to the castle.

Lilac looked out from behind the rock again, but this time she ducked away too late. She was hit square in the face by a spell. Lilac fell face first into the ground and she felt rocks hit her body. She was going to be stuck under an avalanche and she can't do anything about it.

Then, everything went black.

Lilac looked around to see where she was. Was she dead? No. If she was dead, she wouldn't see Newt and Tina sitting in a chair; cuddling next to each other, fast asleep. Lilac sat up with great difficulty not to wake the two of them. She held her ribs and felt a bandage wrapped around her head. She looked over at the the clock sitting on the nightstand, which read 11:47 pm.

There was a calendar hanging on the wall behind it. She could've sworn the last time she looked at a calendar, it was June; but this one said July. How long was she knocked out for?

Lilac heard one of the two stir and swiveled her head around to see Tina awake. Tina looked over at Lilac "You're awake. The Healer's doubted you'd wake, but I knew you would." Lilac smiled. Tina noticed Lilac's look of confusion at the calendar "You've been blacked out for three weeks."

Lilac looked over at Tina "Will still be able to get home?"

Tina nodded "Yes, a couple broken ribs that have been healing for three weeks should be fine."

Lilac smiled a little "It's been long enough. I want to see my brothers and parents again."

Tina looked at Lilac a little more questioningly "You didn't get to answer me before."

Lilac suddenly remembered that she had told Tina her real name. Lilac didn't exactly want to talk about it, so all she said was "You'll know. Give it 94 years. You'll know."

Tina gave a look of confusion, but Lilac paid no attention. She slipped out of bed and wandered over to the window. As she looked out the window, she saw Theseus walking into the building, an oddly shaped bundle in his arms. When he got up to the room, he smiled.

"Oh, my feeling was correct. You are awake." Theseus said. He walked over to Newt and kicked him in the foot "You're the last person awake. Get a move on!" he teased his half asleep brother.

Lilac chuckled. From the stories that her papa and grandpa had told her, Theseus always seemed like he was the life of the party. Her papa never liked talking about Theseus for too long, though. It brought him to tears every time.

Theseus unwrapped the spinning wheel "Don't touch it! It is very powerful! So, unless you want to get swept away to 2022, I'd recommend stepping away!"

Lilac walked forward. She looked at the three of them and smiled "It's been nice meeting you." she said to be polite. It's not like she wasn't going to go straight to Dorset when she got back. Tina and Newt each gave Lilac a hug goodbye. Lilac pulled Theseus into a hug to. It would be the only time she'd be able to hug him, so she wanted to know what it was like.

It was nice. She felt protected. She'd ask her papa when she got back if that was always what Theseus' hugs had always been like. She stepped towards the spinning wheel and grabbed onto it. She felt her inside swirl in on themselves as she moved through time. She was suddenly engulfed in water and she had let go of the spinning wheel. She swam to the surface. When she broke through the surface, she felt warm air on her face.

She felt a tentacle wrap around her waist and pull her out of the water; then flung her to shore. When she landed on the ground, she saw feet running at her. When she looked up, her mother, father, and brothers launched their arms around her.

"We were worried sick about you!" her father cried.

"Oh, do not do that again!" her mother shrieked.

"Lilac! I'm sorry!" Lorcan exclaimed.

"I missed you!" Lysander said.

Lilac looked at them "I am so happy to be back. But..." she looked at her father "...I do have a question. Did nana ever wake up in the middle of the night, exclaiming about someone named Jane Aspen?"

Rolf looked at Lilac "What did you do, Lilac?"

"It wasn't really that bad. She was the one who helped me get back. Her and papa. But mostly her." Lilac explained.

Rolf laughed "Oh, Lilac. You'll have to explain that again when we get to Dorset."

Lilac smiled. She was home and she never wanted to leave again. She loved her family and wouldn't trade them for anything.
