Chapter 2

"I hated every minute of training, but I said don't quit, suffer now and live the rest of your as a champion."

We were planning to attack on Thursday. It is now Wednesday and we have been training for this attack since Wednesday. I got dressed for training today. I put on my black shorts with the cobalt blue stripe, my cobalt blue sports bra, and my Nike training shoes. After that I pulled my back into a ponytail and grabbed my wooden practice knifes and walked downstairs and outside and waited with my dad on the men to show up. As they showed up, I couldn't help but ogle their bodies. I mean we are hunters, we work out, we're fit and hot and they have abs! Even the older men. I have to say that's the best part about being the only girl.

"Okay is everyone ready to train," my dad asked once everyone showed up.

A chorus of yes rang through the men.

"Okay let's get started," he said.

"Weapons with me, hand on hand combat with my dad," I yelled walking to my assigned section.

Once my men and I got to my section I put them in groups of two and let the work. This left me and my best friend of the guys, Ashton. Ashton was a year older then me and he lost his mom, dad, and sister to werewolves. When he joined our clan eleven months ago we became instant friends and he took me under his wing as his little sister. All of the guys tease us saying we are going to get married one day but I just can't see it. I mean he is extremely hot. He has these bright blue eye with brown hair and a little brown scruff on his face, not to mention his perfect abs but I don't see us together, besides I think he fancies this girl in town, I don't know who she is but I've seen pictures.

"You ready to get your butt whipped little girl," he joke twirling his stick in his hand.

I scoffed.

"Little girl?" I asked smirking.

"Why of course," he laughed.

"You do remember I'm only a year younger than you," I asked.

"Exactly compared to me you're a little girl," he smiled.

"Fück you," I laughed.

"I know you want to," he teased.

"I wouldn't tap that if it were the last äss available, now shut up and get into position," I teased.

"Yes ma'am," he said getting into fight position.

We fought all day, only stopping for food and water breaks. We all fought with weapons and bare hands. We also went over agility and stamina. Around 8pm we all finally went to sleep.

I woke up the next morning ready for the fight. I quickly jumped out of bed and put my black leggings on. Then I put my black shirt. I put my hair in a ponytail and then grabbed my spiked gloves. As I was walking out I put on my weapons belt. I could hear my dad getting ready as I put on my combat boots. Not even ten minutes later he came downstairs and grabbed two granola bars and passed me one.

"You ready?" He asked me.

"When am I not ready dad," I laughed at him.

"True true," said as we walked out the door.

Everyone got into a vehicle and we drove as close as we could without the monsters detecting us. Then we got out and creeped the rest of the way.

"Okay, Chayse, Jason, and Ashton are with me inside to kill the alpha. Everyone else surround the place and kill any wolf that comes out," he ordered and we followed his command.

We walked in and the whole place was silent. We walked around trying to find the wolves but nobody was around. Suddenly we heard growls and screams of pain and terror coming from outside. I ran to a window and looked outside, only to see werewolves tearing our men to shreds. Suddenly I heard growls coming from behind me. I gasped and turned around only to see six werewolves. Two had my dad and two had Jason. One restricted their hands and movement while the other held a knife to their throats. The other two weren't holding anybody. Then Ashton came around and walked up to the she-wolf wrapping her in his arms and kissing her forehead.

"Ashton," I croaked as I felt someone put a blade to my throat.

"Enya, please you must understand," he looked at me with the thing in his arms.

"Understand what, that you chose some nasty dog over me," I glared at him in betrayal.

"You don't understand, I lost everything, my mom, dad, sister, I didn't have anything anymore until I met her, you have to understand, she's my mate, my soul mate," he pleaded with me.

"You lost everything because of them. It was their kind that murdered your family in cold blood," I shouted at him.

"Please understand Enya, your my best friend," he cried.

"Was I not enough, were we not enough, is she so important that you had to kill your new family," I asked.

"Please, Enya, I loved all of you, dämn you were my new sister, but I love her, you have to understand, I can't lose you," he begged taking a step closer.

"You lost me the second you took their side, I hate you," I whispered making him flinch as silent tears rolled down his face.

"Well now that the shows over I guess I should introduce myself, my name is Caine Johnston, otherwise known as the State Alpha," said a man with greying blonde hair and brown eyes.

"Fück you," I spat at him.

"Now you guys didn't really think you could kill me did you," he asked laughing.

We all stayed silent not even looking at him.

"Oh, well no answers, I guess that means we move onto the punishment," he laughed.

"I will be sending the little lady to the Alpha King, but as for these two I now sentence them to death," he laughed.

"You said you wouldn't hurt them," Ashton cried out.

"No I said I would hurt the girl," Caine sneered.

I looked back at my dad and Jason just in time to see their throats slashed. The guy restraining me took off my weapons belt and let me go to my dad.

"Dad, please no, don't leave me," I cried putting his head in my lap trying to get him comfortable.

"I have raised a beautiful girl," he croaked grasping my hand in his bloodied hand.

"Dad please don't leave, I need you," I cried.

"Honey, please don't cry, it's time for me to go be with your mom, just know that I love you and I am so proud of you, don't you dare let these bitches break you," he said tightening his grip on my hand before his grip was with his last breath.

"Thank you for always loving me, be proud of me, and loving me unconditionally. I know you aren't with me anymore but I can feel you watching over me. I love you now and I will love you always. Bye daddy," I cried burying my head in his still chest.
