Chapter 4 (Lucca's POV)

"I'm 22, I should have been crowned the Alpha King when I was 18, BEFORE we took over the human world and let them know about us," I told Liam, my best friend and future beta.

"I know dude but you got to understand the stress he was under between your manwhoring ways and the plan between all the Alpha Kings to take over the world," he explained running a hand through his recently shaved head.

"And what is his excuse now," I ask throwing my hands in the air.

"You know it's the hunters Lucca," he said solemnly.

"More precisely the La Vengeance clan," I growled.

"Fuck, I hate them! Seriously if I ever see one of their members, I will rip his heart out myself," he growled his eyes turning black.

"What if it's the girl," I asked.

"I don't care, I'll still rip her heart out, they killed my father," he said turning to me.

"I know man," I said patting his back.

"Back on the original topic, the other reason may be that you haven't found your mate," he said.

"I can rule without that Luna or Queen shit," I grumbled.

"Tell that to your dad," he said as his mate, Gemma, walked up to us.

"Hey babe, hey loser," she said wriggling her way under his arm.

"Hey babe," he said kissing her nose.

"How's it going Gems," I asked.

"Great, did you hear that a member of the Las Vengeance clan had a mate who was a werewolf," she replied.

"What the fuck," Liam shouted.

"No, what happened," I asked shaking my head at him.

"Well apparently he accepted her and told her about their plan to attack and kill her father, the State Alpha," she said.

"And," Liam asked impatiently.

"We'll be acted like nothing happened and only four hunters including him went inside and while they were inside the rest of the wolves attacked and killed 31 members of the clan outside, by the time the four realized they were ambushed it was too late, the leader and third in command were restricted with a knife," she paused to take a breath.

"Second in command," I asked.

"She turned around and saw that her friend had betrayed them and anyways they killed the leader and third in command in front of her, but since the traitor made the State Alpha promise he wouldn't hurt her, Caine sent her here for your dad to deal with," she said.

"Wait, she," I asked.

"When will the fucking bitch be here," Liam asked.

"Yes SHE, and she should be here any moment, that's why I came after you two, I figure we could watch all the commotion and see the last hunter of the La Vengeance clan," she said.

"Let's go babe, you coming Blake," Liam asked grabbing her hand.

"No, I'm going to go talk to my dad," I said walking to my dads office.

I walked into my dads office to see him talking on the phone.

"Just tell them to get here quickly after they get off the plane, I want to get this over with," he said before slamming the phone down.

"Hey dad," I said startling him.

"Hey Lucca, what do you need," he said gesturing to the seat in front of his desk.

"When will I be crowned Alpha King," I asked getting straight to the point.

"When your ready," he grumble.

"But I am ready," I replied.

"I will know when you're fucking ready," he boomed at me.

"What the fuck, I've been ready since I was fucking eighteen," I yelled at him.

"You won't be ready till you have a fucking mate by your side, if I give this position to you without you having your queen, you'll become a fucking tyrant," he growled at me.

"I don't need a fucking mate," I yelled.

"Yes you do and as your father and your fucking Alpha, I fucking demand respect," he screamed at me.

"Fuck you," I said as a man came in.

"King, we have brought the huntress like you requested," he says.

"Bring her in Derick," my dad says tired.

As they walk her in I watch her lift her head up and defiantly stare my dad down. I admired her wavy blonde hair and half sleeve tattoo. She was a beautiful girl and if she wasn't a hunter I might've fucked her. I shook my head and got up. Suddenly I felt her staring, so I snapped my head at her and growled. She looked back at my dad but not before I got a glance at her chocolate brown eyes. I suddenly felt my wolf fighting to get out. He was yelling in my head trying to get through the barrier I had put up. I look at my dad to see him shaking in anger.

"You do know the punishment for your rebellion-," he started to say but I gapped at the balls she had when she cut him off.

"For my rebellion and my kills is death, blah blah blah, no dip shit," she said dryly.

"Oh good you know," my dad growled at her.

"Is now when you ask me how I'd like to die," She asked.

"No you're going to die with me ripping your heart out," he growled. Suddenly my wolf got through.

"Look into her eyes," he called out in my head.

"Father, wait," I spoke up before he could dig his claws into her.

"WHAT, Lucca," he growled at me, his eyes blacker than night. I ignored him and looked at her.

"Look at me," I demanded.

"No," She said still glaring at my dad.

"I said LOOK AT ME," I tried again growling the last part.

"And I said NO," She yelled at me, make my wolf and me mad.

"I will only ask one more time, LOOK AT ME," I growled trying to keep my wolf back from hitting her.

"How about.... YOU GO SUCK A DICK PUP," she yelled at me.

I stormed over to where she was between the guards.

"I asked nicely and since you can't listen I will have to force you," I exclaimed grabbing her face in a painful grip and forcing her to look into my eyes. When we made eye contact I growled at the sparks flowing through my body and I just wanted to kiss her senseless.

"MATE MATE MATE MATE MATE," my wolf screamed in my head.

"No dip shitlock," I said in my head making him growl and shut up.

"Mate," I claimed pulling her towards me.

I sighed as she cuddled into me and then not even a second later she started trembling. She push me away and my heart broke at the tears running down her face.
