I woke up with a sore neck, unable to remember what happened the night before. I got out of bed, noticing Lucca wasn't in his room. I padded to the bathroom and looked in the mirror. I gasped at my hideous bed hair.

"God, where's a brush when you need one," I muttered as I looked for a brush. Once I found one I turned around and started brushing out my blonde hair. After I finished i sat the brush down. Suddenly remembering the soreness of my neck I moved my hair to the side only to see the words "Λούκα Νύχτα" printed in black ink on my neck. Realizing it was his mark I growled.

"LUCCCAAAAA," I screamed at the top of my lungs. I stormed into the room we shared and grabbed a pair of denim high waisted shorts, a black t-shirt, a button up plaid shirt and my black Vans and got dressed quickly. Leaving my hair down I stormed out of the room and down the hall towards the meeting room that his office was connected to. I slammed the mahogany doors open, silencing the meeting that was taking place. Everybody looked at me in confusion until Lucca got up.

"Yes honey," he smooth talked daring me to talk back.

"Oh don't you honey me," I snapped making some of the men chuckle and left the rest oohing.

"What do you need," Lucca asked his eyes hard.

"We need to have a talk, NOW," I growled.

"As you can see I am in the middle of a very important meeting," he said gesturing to all the men.

"Does it look like I give a fuck," I sneered.

"Could you please leave and let the man do his job," said King Kendrick as he stood up and glared at me.

"If you don't come find me as soon as this meeting is over, I swear to you I will disappear and you'll never see me again," I hissed at Lucca. With a final glare I turned on my heels and walked out. I walked down the stairs and into the garden and started walking stopping to smell flowers every now and then. I continued to walk through the sound of water. I was walking down the path, I came across a little pond with a small waterfall. I smiled and quickly took a picture with my phone. I continued walking until I found a swinging bench that hung from a white wood structure. The bench had an off white cushion with black and dark grey pillows. I sat down and admired the beauty of all the flowers. It didn't take long for the swinging of the bench and the smell and sight of the flowers to lull me to sleep.

I woke up a few hours later and walked back to the house. Unsure if the meeting was over or not I stopped a pack member.

"Hey, um I was wondering if the Alpha's meeting had ended," I asked softly.

"Of course, it ended at 2pm," she said smiling before she walked off. I looked at my watch and saw that it was six o'clock. I felt my rage grow within me as I started to stomp up the stairs. I passed Belle, who quickly stopped me.

"Chayse, are you going to eat dinner with us," Belle asked.

"Uh, no," I murmured.

"Oh come on you must, we are have lasagna," she cheered.

"Oh, you won me over as soon as you said lasagna," I smiled thinking that it wouldn't hurt to have a proper meal before I left. We walked down the stairs together chatting about random things. When we got downstairs everyone was waiting on us. We hurried to our seats and sat down.

"Okay now that everyone's here, lets bring out the food," said Lucca's mother.

"Is Alpha Night not coming down," asked one of the younger pack members.

"Kendrick will be down in a little bit," she said smiling. Suddenly, twenty-five trays of lasagna came out and everybody dug in. When most of the wolves were on their third or fourth plate, I was on my second plate. Going to take another bite I heard some of the teenagers greet the king as he sat down. His eyes met mine and he smirked. Then his face went blank and I could tell he was mind linking someone. I was about to take another bite when the empty chair beside me moved.

"Thanks father," Lucca said as he sat down beside me before glancing at me.

"Please excuse me," I said slamming my fork down on my plate and quickly shoving my chair away as I stood up. I ran up the stairs and into his room and found a duffel bag. I started to just throw random clothes inside. Then I zipped it up and left the room heading downstairs towards the front door. I was almost out the door when he stopped me.

"What are you doing," I heard his deep voice ask behind me.

"I'm leaving," I said without emotion.

"Where are you going," he asked.

"I don't know, anywhere but here," I sneered still not looking at him.

"Please don't, don't do this," he whispered.

"Give me one reason why I shouldn't," I asked.

"I love you," he whimpered.

"Bullshit," I yelled turning to look at him, faltering at the heartbroken look on his face.

"Fuck, I love you, I really do, I love you so fucking much it hurts," he said staring directly into my eyes.

"I was starting to fall for you," I whispered.

" Really," he asked with hope in his eyes.

"Ya, I thought you were different, I thought you might be the one werewolf I could love," I said looking into his eyes.

"Thought," he asked.

"Ya, that's what I thought, until you decided to mark me against my will, then I realized you were no different from the monsters I killed before I met you," I said turning around and walking out the door. As soon as the door shut, something was slammed against my head making me cry out in pain before I passed out.
