DreamWorks Ball

Chapter 2

Invitations were sent to every character in Dreamworks Animated worlds. The characters were excited when they received and read their invitations. Almost everyone had already RSVPed to the ball!The invitations came in different coloured envelopes. The invitations themselves were folded like a card. On the front there were words "DreamWorks Ball" written in silver glitter surrounded by little music notes and stars. The inside had all the information needed.

Two Bergens,Chad and Tod, walked towards the party room with a box each. There was a journalist troll with them who asked if he could tad along and ask them a few questions for a short time. They didn't mind so they let him join them. He sat on Chad's shoulder while writing down information.

He had sunset orange glittery skin,red hair,yellow eyes and a forest green nose. The only thing he wore was a tag that had a pass that said "PRESS" on it around his neck. Who was he? He was Jim Skylar and he worked for 'Trollstopia Times' newspaper.

" Would you both please comment on how you both feel about helping to set up for this grand event?", he asked friendly and hopeful.

"Sure", the Bergens replied.

" It's kind of exciting!", Tod said happily.

"It feels really good.", Chad adds happily.

The little journalist wrote down their comments as they spoke. Soon they walked into the Party Room wormhole.

When they came into the other side and saw the host and volunteers. They  were busy setting up for the ball. The ball was in one week! They had planned out the budget and everyone had their jobs. Every year the Dreamworks Anniversary party would be funded by the hosts and donations made. The trolls' jobs were music and invitations. The dragon riders were on security and lights.

Before a few DreamWorks characters or villains decided to attack their enemies or other characters or they tried to ruin everybody's just for fun or to gain power. Last year Pitch, the Boogie Man, tried to attack the Guardians and some children when he saw the chance at the disco party! Then he got kicked out and banned from the party for the rest it!If you get kicked out and banned from the party the ban only last a night so you could still come to next year's party but, depending on what you did to get in trouble in the first place there would someone or more keeping an eye on you every now and then especially if your acting strange...

The guardians were on tables and ball entrance layouts and design. There were jobs they all shared. These jobs were decorating and catering. The decorations had to go well together or else the ball wouldn't look good so everyone had to agree on decorations picked last week. Most of the decorations needed were sorted out and were with them in the room but, there were a few more that they needed...

As for food that there were a few problems which were important but,they found a way to work things out and hoped for the best. Every group will bring their own food,deserts, drinks,snacks and treats so there will be a little bit of everything. There were trolls,bergens,fairies,yeties and berkians were in their worlds cooking up a storm and preparing for the event. Even the fish from Sharktale were making dishes for the ball. Everything had to be ready because, they will be feeding many characters in a week so they couldn't slack off on the job!

A yeti took a tray of freshly baked cookies and placed it on the counter He put another tray of unbaked cookies. Then he walked away to get some icing. Two elves pushed a chair against the counter side and climbed up. Once they got on the counter they walked towards the cookies with their arms stenched out and tongues sticking out. Then the yeti came back just in time to stop them and quickly grabbed the tray with a red cloth in his left hand. He took up into the air before the elves could even reach the tray. The two elves crossed their arms upset while making huffing sound.

The dragon riders were in the air on their dragons. They were installing hooks on the upper walls for hanging up colourful lanterns. The Guardians were moving wooden tables in place. The table they were moving was long, wide and rectangular. It was the food table. They pushed it to the left wall in the middle section of the room. There were fish from Sharktale setting up in the tank with the help of the techno trolls. The trolls were singing a song as they were setting up the advance DJ system on the stage. A berkain put a big speaker against the wall gently at the left end of the stage.

"We're gonna get it done
There's nothing stopping us", the trolls sang.

Chad and Tod put their box's on some set chairs by the wormhole as the reporter slides down Chad's right arm. He jumped onto the chair then onto the floor. He looked up at the Bergens.

"Thanks for your cooperation, guys.", he said.

" Your Welcome",Chad and Tod replied.

Then Jim Skylar ran towards the the hosts who were closest to him,the Guardians. He used his red hair to pull himself onto the table which was just put in place. Once he was on the table he ran towards the closest Guardian to him,the Easter Bunny. Bunny was surprised by the troll as he stopped in front of him.

" Huh?",Bunny said confused.

" I'm Jim Skylar and an journalist for the 'Trollstopia Times' newspaper. May i have a moment of your time and ask a few questions?",Jim said.

Jim put the notepad and pencil in his hair and pulled out a recorder with his left hand. Then pointed it towards Bunny ready to get information. Bunny raised an eyebrow.

"Um...Who let you in and when did you get in,mate?", he asked.

"I came with Chad and Tod a few minutes ago.", Jim cheerful answers.

Bunny quickly looked at Chad and Tod. They were digging through the decorations they brought. Then he looked at the glitter troll. Then Santa Claus sneaked behind Bunny and patted him on the shoulders giving Bunny a quick scare. The Easter Bunny lowered his ears and turned his head to the right to see who just startled him only to see North. North moved to Bunny's right side as Bunny brought his ears back up and gave him an unamused look. North didn't notice Bunny's expression. His attention was on the journalist. The glitter troll brought his arm down.

" Hello there",North greeted.

"Hello Mr Claus", the troll greeted.

"How do you feel about answering my questions for the 'Trollstopia Times'?", Jim asked hopeful.

" Sure,I don't mind.",North answers.

"And don't worry you can trust me. I'm a journalist.", Jim adds.

North laughed at what the little troll had just said. Then they were joined by Sandy who floated to Bunny's left. Tooth and Jack too,who were laughing at a inside joke of theirs as they moved to North's side to see what was happening. They had stopped laughing when they noticed the journalist. Tooth,Jack and Sandy all shared a confused expression. The hosts didn't talk about the press in certain light last week but, they are gonna have to do so later. For now they have to deal with Jim Skylar from Trollstopia Times.
