Frisk's pov
SLAM DUNK B*TCH- oh wait wrong sport. He kept throwing these fireballs at me and I kept dodging or hitting them. At some point I got hit but shrugged it off. Sure it hurt like hell, but I would rather be burned slightly than completely engulfed.
"Dad!" Sure it was a long shot but he was definitely better than my actual dad.
Asgore looked at me stunned. "Please stop! I don't want to hurt anyone! I just want to leave. I need to leave!" He looked so sad. Honestly, me too pal. "I'll be fine! You saw me! I counter attacked and dodged most of your attacks! What more do you want?!" I'm not going to kill the old man, that's for sure. The last thing I want is to have a guilty conscience. He looked uncertain and sad.
"I just want you to be safe. But it's obvious you don't care for me or yourself." The ball of heat in his hands dimmed down to nothing . He was right about the second part. But what are you to expect from a damaged teenage girl?
"I-I'm sorry, Frisk." I looked at him wide-eyed as he crumbled to the ground in a sobbing mess. I walked over to him and kneeled next to him, not knowing what to do. I decided to hug him, because honestly I needed a hug too. He tensed for a second before completely engulfing me in a bear hug. He sobbed even harder for a few minutes but then pulled away and wiped away his tears. He gave a nervous chuckle. "S-sorry about that, little one. You didn't have to see that."
There was a moment of awkward silence when I noticed Temmie was nowhere to be seen. That piece of sh- "I know you won't stop until you leave, so I will let you pass." I looked at him with a shocked, yet happy, expression on my face. "Really?" "Yes my child-" I wrapped my arms around him and gave him a muffled thank you. I really was thankful but mostly wanted to hide the fact that I was about to cry. I don't like to cry because it shows weakness. In this world, if you show an ounce of weakness they will eat you alive. That proved to be true for me, so I learned to keep my emotions hidden.
"But you must promise to stay safe. Well, at least make it out of here with more than one limb. There really is no line drawn to what these monsters will do." I let him go and stood up, wiping my face. I nodded an smiled. "thanks." I started to make my way toward the door when he stopped me. "Ah, wait! I almost forgot! Wait right here and I'll be right back. There's something I want to give you!" He let go of me and walked back down the long hallway looking back at me a few times to make sure I was still there. I desperately wanted to leave but decided to wait. I saw him come back a few minutes later with one of those backpack type bags (idk how to describe it but the ones that have drawstrings and you can put it on like a backbag).
"Here my child. Inside is a pouch with enough G to pay for a good meal and a night at the inn. There's also a sealed cup with warm tea and a wrapped slice of pie. That should be enough to help you regain your strength." I look into the bag and see that there is indeed a pouch with what looked like gold coins inside, a plastic wrapped slice of pie and....a sippy cup.... filled with tea. Apparently he saw me looking at the sippy cup because he gave me an apologetic smile.
"I'm sorry my dear. There was nothing else that was sealed and I didn't want you to be cold on your journey." I smiled at him and hugged him goodbye one last time. "If you keep walking straight, you should arrive to a town called Snowdin. Good luck." I walked towards the door and pushed.
I was greeted with a cold gust of wind and white.
Asgore's pov
I can't believe that just happened. I'm supposed to scream and shout for her to stay, but I didn't. I was supposed to keep her safe. How will I know that she's safe? Can I rely on the promise he made? I hope so. If I find out that Frisk died I don't know what I'll do. I can't lose another one....
