Fun fact my birthday is the 23rd and nothing makes me happy than the fact that Kageyama's is the 22nd and we're the same age😂 anywayy.... enjoy!

"Okay okay" I laughed as Hinata pulled me out of the house forcefully. I was peacefully watching Netflix before this energetic dork burst through my door and decided we were going on a sudden adventure.

"We really need you to throw a couple balls for us today" Hinata expressed as his eyes sparkled, letting go of my arm. I looked up into his eyes seeing the excitement almost burst out of him.

"It's Saturday, you're supposed to be hanging out with your friends or going shopping or something" I stated as he looked back down at me and shook his head. "No! I need as much practice as I can get so I can be the- "The next tiny giant, I know Sho but I'm sure even he took breaks every now and then!" I cut him off placing a hand on his shoulder.

He peered down at me as his look softened slightly "I know...I will" he mumbled watching his feet as we walked into the school soccer field. "Today's just not that day" he smiled back at me a sense of proudness dripped from his voice.

I sighed and shook my head as we finally got to the gym.

He jumped through the door "I found someone to toss us some balls!" Hinata explained as he flung his hands around. There's another guy here?

I stepped in following Hinata. And there stood a very tall boy with black hair, he was in a white sweatshirt and black shorts with knee pads. "This is Y/n" Hinata introduced pulling me closer to the unfamiliar boy.

I stumbled and fell into his chest, I put my hands out to try and catch myself but I still landed into his chest. He lightly grabbed my arms trying to catch me.

I peeked up at him, my E/c meeting his dark blue ones. I blushed and stood up regaining my posture. "Hello" I gave him a small wave. He blushed and then bowed "Hi".

"And that's Kageyama" Hinata said as if he was a proud kid showing off his science project.

Kageyama sighed before turning and heading to the already set up net. Hinata ran over and tossed a volleyball over to me. I caught it and tried to throw it to Kageyama. It flew over his head.

He watched as the ball landed behind him, both him and Hinata turned to me. Hinata started laughing at me and Kageyama just gave me a look of concern. "I'm surprised you even caught the ball" He muttered repositioning himself.

My face turned bright red. "I can throw a ball!" I threw back at him getting mad. He returned the look as I tossed up another ball.

...

"Okay...I'm sorry but I think we should find someone else to practice with" Kageyama huffed as Hinata got off the ground. I panted lightly as I shot him another glare. "No I've got this"

"Please, let me get this right" I stood up grabbing another ball from the basket. I tossed it up perfectly to Kageyama who quickly passed it back up to Hinata who moved so quick I couldn't even keep my eyes on him.

I beamed with excitement as I ran over and high-fived Hinata and then to Kageyama who looked VERY confused as to why I was high fiving him.

I looked up as he still stood there confused, I reached up to his head and ruffled his hair "see I told you I'd get it" I chuckled lightly. He removed my hand and held it in his hand for a second as he stared deep into my eyes.

"Hey, lovebirds get a room" Hinata called from behind us making Kageyama let go of my hand, he grabbed a volleyball that was behind him and spiked the really hard at Hinata's head.

"Thanks for practicing with us...even though you kinda sucked" Hinata smiled brightly as Kageyama locked up the gym behind us. "Anytime you weirdo" I laughed and pushed him away from me causing him to stumble back a bit.

"How's about Kageyama walks you home today? It'll give you two the chance to get to know each other!" Hinata smirked as he then dashed away before I could hit him. I sighed deeply and laughed at the short guys antics.

"How's about it?" I asked as Kageyama shot a million daggers at the small Tangerine far off in the distance. "Sure" he nodded at me and made his way by my side.

I teased him every now and then, he didn't like it at first but I think he quickly got used to my jokes. "So you're Hinata's friend?" He asked as he pulled milk out of his bag and stuck his straw through it sipping it.

I nodded my head "yes I've known him since we were like 5" I explained "and we've been friends ever since". Kageyama nodded his head lightly at my statement.

We soon arrived at my house "I'll see you on Monday!" I chirped as we made our way up to my door. "Oh?" He responded giving me a confused look.

"Yeah, I'll come sit with you!" I stated giving him a quick smile.

He paused and smiled back at me, it was a small smile but it was still a win in my books. "So you can smile!" I giggled watching him get flustered.

"Okay. See you on Monday Kageyama" I said my goodbyes before entering my house.

Kageyama's POV

I actually smiled. It wasn't forced. It wasn't fake. I actually smiled at her.

I stood there dumbfounded on her sidewalk.

I shook my head and began my walk home. Sipping my milk eagerly as I tried to wrap my head around the h/c girl I met today.

I was so comfortable with her, like I've known her for years. Why does it feel so natural to walk by her side?

I sighed and closed my eyes as my thoughts danced around in my head.
