I sighed as I sank into my arms that were crossed over my desk.

It's almost been a week since we've truly interacted. Usually that's not a problem, so why is this particular encounter struggling to escape my mind?

I felt my hot breath hit the desk and bounce off back into my face.

He was so kind to me for the short while I was there, why is he pretending like I don't exist now?

The loud bell interrupted the swirling thoughts, reminding me of my responsibilities.

I lifted my head from my arms and pushed some of my H/C out of my face, standing up and patting my uniform down before grabbing the book bag that slung over the back ready if the seat I previously occupied.

I flung them heavy bag over my shoulder and headed towards the door of the classroom.

Hopefully today was better.

I quickly scanned through the clipboard in hand as the coach sighed.

"I don't mean to add extra stress on you, but you're the only one I can trust"

Meeting his soft yet panicked eyes I gave him a quick reassuring smile.

"No worries coach, I have no problem supervising these guys. What could go wrong?"

He stared at me for a second or two, the look in his eye spoke louder than what he could've said.

'Are you serious?'

He exhaled loudly and closed his eyes as his head dangled down, bringing his hand up to massage the stress out of the bridge of his nose. He glanced back up at me and smiled back.

"Thank you, I must be going now"

He bowed and quickly exited the gym leaving me to watch over the boys as they practiced.

I turned and watched the boys begin to warm up. The sounds of their hands hitting the ball still made me jump every time. I walked over to the bench and sat down, sorting through my bag and taking out my clipboard quickly running over a few things I as the team manager had to go over.

"H-hey!"

My heart suddenly sped up at his voice rung through my ears causing my eyes to widen slightly.

"Sorry I haven't been around, I got a little sick.."

I tilted my head up to see the owl boy rubbing the back of his neck as he approached me.

I giggled and watched him as he took a seat next to me.

"I wasn't overly concerned, how are you feeling now?"

His golden eyes bounced up towards mine as they scanned each other.

"I'm not doing so hot, is it ok if I sit here with you?"

I gulped and nodded quickly.

He really doesn't look okay, practice has barely begun and he's sweating way more than usual.

"Do you need anything?"

He huffed and chuckled out weakly leaning back onto the wall and lazily watching the court before him.

"Just to sit here with you"

His orbs found their rightful spot looking deep into my own making a small blush form on my cheeks as I giggled slightly at his comment.

"Whatever you say you dork."

I shook my head and returned my gaze to my clipboard running my finger down the side to find my original place.

My eyes scanned over the numbers before seeing one I didn't recognize.

"HEADS UP!"

My eyes shot up to meet a ball hurdling straight for my face. But my body didn't react.

Instead I sat there and watched as it quickly got closer to my face holding my breathe.

It was three inches away and a large hand came into view stopping the white and yellow ball in its tracks.

My eyes blinked a few times before my brain could catch up with what just happened.

"Next time move okay?"

Bokuto laughed at me as he tossed the ball back into the court.

I looked at his glazed expression and let out a breath I was aware I was holding in.

"Thank you, it came so fast I didn't even have time to react!"

He stopped laughing to look me in the eye, getting a bit more serious.

"Well you have terrible reflexes!"

I scrunched up my nose and pushed him playfully shaking my head.

"I do not!"

"Well if you didn't, I wouldn't have had to save your cute face..."
