It has been almost a week since Myrrhine started school and she hated it already. She had a ton of homework which she had to do, lots of things to memorize and at the same time help the imps with their work in the underworld.

She recalled the time she had too much free time and mentally complained of boredom. Now, she wished that time was back, but it was too late for that. She gave her daily reports to Hades even though her relationship with Hercules was not as strong as he wished.

One day, they were all taken to Athens's agora arcade. The biggest market/mall filled with all kinds of shops, restaurants, fad food places and many more. Dozens of people walked while currying bags and sacks with their latest investments.

Myrrhine had been there before a few times but avoided because of how many people it had. She was not fun of big crowds.

Climbing down the carriage, she joined her friends and the rest of the students who were around Parenthesis. He was the councillor and responsible for almost everything they did, from their class schedules to their field trips and many more.

He was a skinny man, dressed in a plain white toga with half of his chest out. He stood in front of the fountain as he spoke. "Welcome students to internship week. 5 days of immersion into the real world of work *in a lower voice* and a week off for the teachers."

Myrrhine rolled her eyes, immediately not being thrilled at all for this new plan. It was simply an excuse for the teachers to sit on their asses all day while the students worked. Worse was the fact that she actually had a job, a permanent one.

Thankfully, this internship would occupy normal school hours so she wouldn't have troubles with Hades. Plus, she had no homework for a week so she might be able to relax if she ended up on Tyche good side.

"Wow, a week in the real world," Hercules said, suddenly excited.

"I have often wondered what that might have been like," Icarus said.

"Trust me; it's nothing nice" Myrrhine commented, one hand at her waist as she stood next to Cassandra.

"She is right. You better keep wondering" the girl said, hands folded in front of her chest. "Parenthesis will give the 'inn crowd' all the great jobs, and we will end up enslaved in humiliating tragedy as usual."

"Sucks to be us."

The two girls gave a nod agreeing as Parenthesis took a scroll out with the names of the students and the shops/places they would work for the next 5 days. "Paris shall work for Panasonycles, the king of big screens" aka the man responsible for making shadow puppets for young kids.

"How fitting. Well then, off we go *his servants picked him up on their shoulders* what is that word again...work?" he laughed.

The heroes watched him being carried away, knowing very well that his servants would do all the work for him. That was the biggest and most unfair part of the school.

Parenthesis cleared his throat. "Myrrhine, our sassy student, shall work for Hades Funeral Home."

The girl blinked and cleaned her ear with her pinkie. "Come again? The what of what?"

Parenthesis looked at her, showing he was not in the mood to repeat himself and continued with the list of students. It ended up with Cassandra taking the information booth, Icarus working at Aphrodite's secret and Hercules at Gyro World.

Of course, Hercules being Hercules heard Hero and got super excited, only to be quickly disappointed once he has gotten to work. He was forced to work mittens, an aprons and the clothing of a sheep while throwing off some weird slogan.
