It was around a month since the incident with the festival and Aphrodite but that did not mean Myrrhine had it easy. Because, when you are friends with the trouble-attracting Hercules; there is no peace in your life.

Working for the Lord of the Underworld did not help much either if one would be honest.

For in that single month, one major event shook Greece once again with our poor heroine getting stuck in the middle.

For starters, Hades had an almost successful plan by moving the river Styx to the upper world. Everyone was punished with what they hated the most; except for Myrrhine. The perks of working for Hades meant she was not affected directly by his plans.

Of course, Hercules managed to save the day in the end and learn to appreciate Shop Class, tutored by none other than Icarus' Father; Dedalus.

If Hercules had not interfered, Myrrhine was certain that Hades would have been successful for once; which was kind of terrifying. Thankfully, everything returned to normal or at least tried to.

For some reason, the number of souls entering the Underworld had started to decrease dramatically. The number of people dying was so low, that Myrrhine and the two fiends did not have almost any work to do.

In their eyes, this was simply a gift from the Gods because they could do what they wished to and chill or occupy themselves with something else. However, it was Hades that did not like what was going on and he was about to make it clear in their next meeting.

Such "meetings" were never really programmed and were mostly created by Hades when he had a plan or wanted to check in on what was going on in his realm.

Sitting in the main room, Hades had taken his seat by the head of the empty table. Myrrhine had taken a seat at a chair further away and was leaning it back to a certain angle, while Pain and Panic stood not so far away from her.

"Okay, boys, lady, I do not have all day...actually, I have eternity" he said, leaning on his one hand and scoffing at his misfortune and immortality. "What am I talking about? I just do not want to spend it with any of the three of you" he said, placing his hand on the table and glancing at the only female. "Although, spending some time with you Myrrhine would not be that bad" he joked, lifting up and down his eyebrows for a moment.

She rolled her eyes at him and lifted her sandals on the table, hands folded in front of her chest. "Feeling is not mutual, I am afraid," she said, mumbling slightly her words.

"I am sorry, what did you say?" he asked, cleaning his ear. "Am I not, Hades of the Underworld, a good company?" he asked her, clearly offended.

"Never said that. On the contrary, you are such a good company that one simply cannot stand to be around you all the time" she said, sarcasm dripping from every word that left her mouth.

Hades for a moment nodded with his head, taking him a little longer to realize that she was not being sincere and was simply being ironic with him. His flames turned orange once he understood and with one swift move, he had slammed both his hands on the table and loomed over her.

"I am sorry, was that sarcasm I detected?" he asked, his voice dropping an octave in warning as his own shadow was cast on top of her form.

The sudden close proximity and the passive threat made her lose her balance and ended up falling off the chair, letting the back of her body slam against the cold tiles of the room. She held back any hiss she wanted to make from the sudden impact and glared up at him through her curly hair.

There was this tension between them, none were willing to back down or look away. There were times Myrrhine would get equally stubborn and simply challenge Hades until he decided to draw the line or pull the 'I own you' card.
