Ch 24 🚬

Smoker/Ember

"Smoker, I can join your Marine crew, right?" Since Ember and Smoker were left alone in the room while her Father escorted the pirates to their ships the girl decided to pass the time by talking with Smoker. "Hm? Of course, you can join my crew Ember. There shouldn't be any issues since I control my fleet as Vice Admiral"

"Though Smoker if we ever run into Kidd, I don't think I could fight him since Jess is with him and she wouldn't like it very much if I hurt her Husband" She heard him grunt but he quickly nodded his head before he responded. "That's understandable Ember she is your sister after all" The girl gave him a hug before she moved off of the couch. "If I sit any longer, I'm going to fall asleep. Besides my Dad should be getting back soon"

"The pirates have left the island! Come along you two we have to get going!" Ember jumped when her Father spoke up from behind her, she hated it when he did that. "What the hell Dad!? Don't sneak up on me!" As the girl calmed her racing heart, she turned to face her Father who was rubbing the back of his neck as he smiled at her.

"Sorry about that Ember didn't mean to scare you but now that the Pirates are gone, we need to get going. I've kept my fleet waiting long enough and I'm sure they're not happy about it" As he started walking out the door Ember and Smoker ran after him before the man could leave them behind. "Admiral-" The man interrupted Smoker before he could finish his sentence.

"Please Smoker call me Alexander. You're dating my daughter, aren't you? That makes you a part of the family" After Alexander made that comment Ember looked back to see Smoker was blushing as he stuttered out a response. "W-Well, we're not officially together but I am very fond of your daughter"

"Your relationship will only grow stronger with time Smoker"

At The Docks...

When they boarded Alexander's ship the Marines that were on the deck casually looked to see their leader had returned and started to stand up. "Men are we ready to set sail?" A male started walking over before he hit Alexander in the back of the head. "What took you so long Alex!? You're putting us behind schedule like always!"

"Don't hit me Nick and when have we ever been late because of me!?" It was strange watching how her Father acted with his crew but then again, he's always been like this. "Dad, can we get going, or do you need a minute?"

"Dad!? Alex why didn't you tell us we were here to pick up your daughter!?" Apparently, Alexander hadn't informed them of what the exact reason was for stopping on this island. "Oh, right this is my little spark Ember and her boyfriend Smoker"

"Hello~" Ember gave a little wave before she turned back to her father who was still holding the back of his head in pain. Since the man didn't answer her question, she asked it again, she wanted to get going as soon as possible. "Are we setting sail or not?"

"Nick! Take care of things out here, I need to show Smoker and Ember to their room" The man directed his right-hand man to basically make all the decisions regarding them setting sail. Once Nick had nodded his head Alexander started walking inside of the ship but when the pair didn't follow him Alexander turned back around. "Come along you two"

"Shouldn't you be staying on the deck and making sure nothing goes wrong Dad?" Ember stared at her Father until his right-hand man spoke up while he was shouting out some orders to the men on deck. "It's better if he stays out of our way Ember, Alex is a powerful man but his captaining skills could use some work"

"Fair enough. Okay, then Dad show us to our room" With Smoker's handheld in hers she began to follow her Father through the door he had just gone through.
