Good ol' Florida. It was nice being back here. Two years away from the sunshine and the heat was something I missed more than I thought I would. The warm October air was crisp and comforting as I rode my 1992 Harley Davidson motorcycle.
I was surprised I still remembered the route to the house filled with beloved memories. Then again, I was over there more often than my own home, so it wasn't too surprising.
I pulled up to the mansion, sighing a breath of relief as I took off my helmet. I anxiously got off my bike and walked up the steps to the large oak front door. I took a breath of courage as I knocked on the door.
The door was opened by an older man, probably in his seventies, wearing a nice suit- the new butler, I assumed. He looked at me strangely, keeping the door partially closed.
"May I help you, young lady?" He asked, his voice aged and warm.
I smiled politely as I replied, "Yes, is Traitor Vadállat home?"
"Alpha Schrader is home. May I be inquired to who's asking?"
"I'm an old friend, tell wolfy that I'm here." When he gave me a questioning look, I added quickly, "I can wait outside, if you're more comfortable with that?"
He nodded, clearly unsure still. "Of course, ma'am. Just one moment, please."
I nodded, letting out a shaky breath as he closed the door.

Traitor's POV
I sighed as I filed my paperwork. I was way behind, and I had so much work to do, I was starting to lose my patience. I was brought away from my work with a knock on the door.
"Come in," I called.
The study door opened, and my butler, Walter, stepped in. "Pardon the intrusion sir, but you have a woman asking for you."
I raised a brow. "Did she give a name?"
"No sir, but she did call you 'wolfy.' Is that any significance to you?"
I snapped my head towards him.
It couldn't be...no. But maybe...
I stood up from my chair as I spoke quickly. "Where is she?"
"Uh, she offered to stand outside and wait for you, sir. Should I ask her to leave?"
"No, no, that's fine. I'll be on my way, thank you."
I nearly sprinted down the stairs, needing to see for myself. Once I was by the door, I swung it open, and my heart skipped a few beats.
There, looking up at me with her icy blue eyes, was the girl I had fallen in love with. The girl that gave me the confidence to become Alpha. The girl I had dreamt about ever since she left.
"Alex?" I asked in more of a whisper tone.
She smiled at me as she replied, "Hey wolfy."
I stepped forward and pulled her into a tight hug, instantly feeling sparks all throughout my body. I held her close as she hugged back, not wanting to let her go. I eventually pulled away so I could look at her.
"I can't believe it's you! Where have you been? And what made you come back?"
She sighed. "It's kind of a long story."

Alex's POV
I sighed as I looked up at him. "It's...kind of a long story."
"Well, come on in. There's no need for you to stand outside."
He smiled as he pulled me inside. I gasped as I felt sparks everywhere he touched me. I didn't know why, but it felt great.
He dragged me to his office, where he sat me down on the couch. He sat next to me, as he repeated his questions about where I was, and why I came back.
"Well, I've been traveling from state to state, staying no longer than a few days in each town. The longer I stayed somewhere, the easier it was for me to be found, so constant moving was necessary. During my time, I killed whatever demons I came across, which was a lot more than I anticipated, but I managed.
"And to answer why I came back, it's simple. Over the past few weeks, I have been dealing with less and less demons, until there were eventually none. I haven't run across a demon in almost a month. So, I figured, while things were died down, I could come back and see you."
"I'm glad you did, but I was so worried about you. You never called or checked up with me. I was beginning to think you died, or forgot about me." He added the last part sadly.
I grabbed his hand comfortingly, nearly jumping from the sparks. "No, it's nothing like that. I had to get rid of my phone, it made me easier to track. And I couldn't risk calling you, and having someone overhear. That would've put you, and your people, in danger, and I was not going to let that happen."
He smiled at me. "Well, I'm glad you're okay, and to welcome your return, we shall have dinner."
"Oh no, you don't have to put any effort into making me feel welcomed. Being here is already enough."
He shook his head. "No, you deserve a nice meal. Plus, my family will be dying to see you."
I nodded with a light laugh. "You're right. Ren will probably side tackle me once she sees me."
He laughed loudly. "You're probably right about that."
God, I missed his laugh.
I smiled at him. "I missed being here. You made it seem like this place was the home I never really had."
He gently held my cheek, the sparks growing there, too. "I missed you, Alex."
I sighed softly, letting the realization that I was really back sink in. After a moment of silently gazing at each other, I smirked slightly.
"So, Schrader, huh? I wondered why you never told me your really name."
He laughed nervously, rubbing the back of his neck. "Uh, yeah, we briefly discussed how my parents weren't the best at picking names."
I giggled lightly. "So, why Traitor?"
"My wolf's name is Travis, and my name is Schrader. Neither of us really liked our names, so we combined them. Plus, Traitor sounds pretty badass, if you ask me."
We laughed together, which was something else I missed a lot. "You're still a dork."
"You know it," he replied with a wink.
I rolled my eyes playfully, looking at the giant piles of paper on the desk. "Alpha life a bit too chaotic for you?"
He chuckled lightly. "Yeah, it's been...an adventure."
"When did you become Alpha? I remember you staying you didn't want to."
"I officially became the Alpha in February. I decided it was time for me to grow up, and take care of my people."
I smiled at his response. "I'm glad to hear that, but you seriously need to work out a filing system."
He laughed with a nod. "You have no idea."
"C'mon, I'll help you out."
I stood up, waiting for him to stand. He smiled as he did, walking over to his desk with me behind. I smiled to myself as we worked.
It was so nice being back, I just hoped I could stay this time...
