A menacing growl erupted from the doorway, putting us into defencing mode. I glared when I saw the creature, recognizing her as a shapeshifter. She had been helping the demons hunt me down, just for protection. (Because apparently she's not very popular in the supernatural world. Who knew, right?)

She spotted me and wasted no time to charge at me. Ready for her attack, I caught Traitor's attention by shouting his name. He snapped his head towards me in time for me to toss the pendant at him, before I ducked and rolled to the side where my backpack was. I quickly grabbed the handle of my sword, willing the blade to extend before pointing it towards her.

She smirked as she charged at me again, missing me as I dodged and swung at her. I managed to cut her arm, but she was good. I growled as she spotted Traitor, seeing her ready to attack him. Thankfully, he had put the pendant on, so he wasn't going to die, no matter what.

Traitor dodged her attack, grabbing her hair and head budding her on the dresser. She grunted as she glared at us, probably trying to quickly strategize her next attack. She then straightened and smirked.

"Ali Bear, you were hiding so well. Why on earth would you risk your life to steal from me?" She asked, playing with me.

"Don't call me that! And, it's not stealing when it doesn't belong to you, Esmeralda," I snapped back, my swoard still pointing at her.

"It was a gift, so yes, it does belong to me."

I chuckled dryly. "Who would give you anything, except, perhapes, their body?"

She smirked as she replied, "Your father."

My eyes widened at her statement.

"He wanted me to watch you, so he gave me the pendant to help. I guess you didn't need it to find this hunk of a werewolf."

Traitor growled and stepped closer, ready to attack as she continued.

"He thinks about you all the time, you know. He just wants you to come home."

"Wanted," Traitor corrected. "He died two years ago."

Realization hit Esmeralda's face as she looked at me. "You haven't told him yet, have you? Oh, sweet Ali Bear, this is going to be more fun than I thought."

"Yeah, it is," I replied before attacking.

She expected me to charge head first, but when she dodged, I twirled and swung towards her. I heard the successful sound of the blade slicing perfectly through her flesh and bone, and her head as it rolled on the ground. I exhaled slowly as her body turned to ash, as it does when shifters die.

I looked around to see if anyone else was here before looking at Traitor. "We gotta go now, before someone else sees us."

He noddes reluctantly, before we picked up our bags. I transported us out of there, and back to another desserted area further away from the scene. When I felt were were safe, we walked into town, checking into a motel for the night. We needed to lay low for a bit, as to not draw unwanted demon attention.

We got into our room- we got one room with two beds, just to save money, since I didn't bring a lot, and I didn't want him to spend his money on me- and threw our backpacks on the couch. I sighed as turned around, looking at Traitor to see his eyes filled with many emotions. Mostly confusion and rage.

"Alex, what the hell was she talking about?" He asked angrily.

"Traitor, it's compli-"

"Tell me now!" He yelled, fuming. "What did she mean?!"
