Bethanys POV.
When I was 4 I was able to talk and walk properly. But... I'm the one who taught myself this. Basically, all I know is that I was abandoned in a cave, rapped in a purple shirt that was a sleeping bag on me then but now I'm 17 and its a one size too big on me. It has tucked in sleeves that had becomes untucked in over the years and its ripped at the bottom like its supposed to have a pants attachment.Next to where I sleep in the cave, I have this shiny, yellow, pointed object. I dont know what it is, but I've tried to put it around my wrists, ankles, waist, neck, etc. But nothing worked. So instead I've just been wearing it on my head or setting it on a rock in my "bedroom" is what I think its called from the house book I found across the river.
I haven't traveled far from my cave at all inless if I was going across the river for apples or wood. I've also have gone halfway up the mountain, that my cave is on, for stone, gravel, snow, etc.
I've heard strange noises coming from the woods during winter or fall, but I didnt see anything. No matter how far I went, I kept hearing sounds of loud bangs and screaming. I always thought it was probably just a tree falling and a screech owl, but owls don't come around where I live inless its spring or summer.
One day when I was picking carrots down by the river, I saw lights coming from the woods. Then later at night I saw smoke coming from the southeast side of the river a few miles away. I didnt want to go check it out because it was to calm to be a forest fire.
