William's POV

Louis and I sat at the dining table, silent. He had just told me about all the times he noticed Ami had been acting different, like scared or nervous.

He first brought up the first time which was back in London, the night they got the news. Louis said one of Ami's brother had brought up a guy, but Louis doesn't even remember his name.

"I totally forgot his name, but it did piss her off" Louis said, thinking back to the dinner.

"How do you forget the name, this dinner was like 2 weeks ago???" I quietly yelled out, clearly aggravated.

"Shut up, I'm a forgetful person" putting his hand onto his forehead, continuing to think.

The second time was the same night when Louis was helping her unpack her books. He had brought up the same dude, again not remembering his name, and she had all of a sudden became nervous.

"So did she like get pissed off? Or like did she seem in a like w-t-f bro why would you ask that kind of mood?" I asked as I stood up.

Louis began to pace around the table. "She was in a more like shaken up mood, but then became the w-t-f dude mood you know?"

I nodded at his response.

Between those times, he'd notice her breath would catch short whenever someone got close, noticeably a male. Or whenever someone would yell, she'd fiddle with her bracelets and began to breathe really fast.

The next time was when the Partridge's had gone to Venice beach for the day and Ami looked like she was gonna throw up the whole trip.

"Did she throw up though?" I made a face.

Louis sat down, annoyed. "Dude I don't know, even if she did, I'd run away, seeing or hearing people throw up makes me wanna throw up."

I nodded my head really fast at him, snapping my fingers. "I GET LIKE THAT TOO BRO"

Louis got up looking at me wide-eyes. "IT'S SO DISGUSTING RIGHT"

He mentioned during their dinner at a restaurant, Ami had left for quite some time and when his mom came to check on her, she took even longer. When she came back to the table, he noticed bruises on her knuckles and that her eyes were a bit puffy.

"We're the bruises bad?" I felt bad, Ami's was clearly still heartbroken over whoever had hurt her and I hate to see her like that.

"Um not really, it was more like a scrape I guess." Louis shrugged his shoulders.

The last time he noticed was when they were sitting down on the pier and he tried to pull her closer to him to comfort her, but she pushed him away. He said it looked like there was fear in her eyes.

"Maybe she was just weird out man" I crossed my arms onto the table, "I mean you guys have only known each other for like 3 weeks then and you pulled a move." I teased him.

Louis turned to me giving me a dirty, offended look. "Oi she just seemed cold alright, and she wore a pretty thin t-shirt and and"

"And you have a crush on her" I smirked at the boy, who noticeably blushed his cheeks when I said it.

He nudged my shoulder. "Shut up"

I didn't hear any denial.

Then Louis got up, pacing around the room, trying to figure out the dudes name. He kept snapping his fingers, mumbling words. "UGH, why can't his name just come to mind!" Louis yelled, wincing as he looked back at Ami's room.

"Dude chill out," I said looking closely at the unopened room, "do you at least remember the first letter of his name?"

He thought for a second. "It was either a B or a D...I don't exactly remember."

I looked down, trying to remember any time the two had mentioned a name that starts with those two letters.

"BRYAN!" I pointed a finger at him.

He looked at me. "Bro that's the name of the dude who takes our boba orders." He shook his head.

He began snapping his fingers quickly, catching my attention. "Hold on I got it! It starts with a D...crap what is it what is it."

We both looked at each other. "DYLAN!!!" We yelled, cringing as we darted our eyes to Ami's door, releasing a breath when it didn't open.

We sat down. My head in my hands while Louis sat back in his chair, clearly shocked.

"It all makes sense now." Louis said, shaking his head.

"What does?" I looked at him, confused.

"The day my family and Ami were moving in, I found a box with the name Dylan written on the side of it" I nodded, remembering the dinner Louis had asked if that was any of our boxes. "She had written him a poem. It was sad dude. Like downright depressing."

I looked down. I've only known Ami for a few days, but I've never seen or heard of her sad like today. She was always a happy and cheerful person. She had a bubbly attitude and everyone loved her for that.

I looked to Louis who was still shocked. "We can't bring up Dylan to Ami until necessary or unless she is ready to share it with us, got it?" I looked at Louis expectedly. He looked down then nodded his head.
