Chapter 44

"Merry Christmas ya filthy animals!" Willie cried out as I walked into the living room.

Rubbing my eyes, I opened them to see Lou, Timmy and Alex sitting on the couch with Jo and Willie in the kitchen making breakfast. All of us wearing matching pjs we had bought two nights before.

"Merry Christmas!" I said, hugging everyone as I made my way around the room.

"Merry Christmas Hun." Jo said panting a kiss on my cheeks as she poured pancake batter on a pan.
"Are you done packing yet?" I looked up guilt-fully knowing that I have nothing packed.

She noticed this and sighed, "Ami, you're leaving back home tomorrow."

I sighed back at her, "I know I know, I'm just scared that if I pack, it will feel real to me and I'm scared of the feeling I won't be coming back here."

Silence filled the kitchen as Willie washed the dishes. "I know, but you'll be coming back sooner than you think." She winked at me. I looked at her confused. Sooner than I think? What does that mean?

I turned to Willie who had the same confused look on his face. Seems like he doesn't know either.

I made my way toward the couch sitting next to Timmy as I felt Louis's eyes on me. I turned to him and smiled as he returned a weak one back.

Louis and I were the only one leaving as Willie's parents were going to come to L.A. in two days after we're gone. Timmy of course is staying here for more auditions and such. Apparently we were going to be gone for two months. Two whole months without the family I have made over the past few months. I don't think I've gone two days without seeing any of them.

I looked around the room, at the people in my presence, studying every detail about them so I won't forget during the time I'm gone. I mean I can always text and call, but it won't be the same especially because of the time difference. I mean I'll have Louis with me and all, but it's not like we're going to be with each other 24/7 like we are over here. I bet he'll be catching up with his friends and family while I'm stuck at home surrounded by people who don't really care about me being home.

"Breakfast is ready!" Willie yelled out. We all got up making our way towards the table. I laughed at the sight of the boys whose butts look strangely big in their onesies.

"Wait! Let's take pictures!!" Jo said, grabbing her phone. All the boys groaned and rolled their eyes. "Oh shut it, you guys look amazing." We all forcefully smiled as Jo smiled behind the camera, complimenting on how handsome and beautiful we look.

After we took pictures and finished our breakfast, we all gathered around in the living room, organizing the presents. I had the ones I had wrapped the night before by my side as the others had their gifts near them.

"Okay wait I'll give out mine first!" I said as I read the names out loud.

Once I gave everyone their presents, I let them open it.

Smiles and gasps left their lips as I clapped joyfully at their reaction.

I gave Willie some camera film for his vintage camera he had gotten a few months ago. He only used it 6 times because the film was so expensive. "Holy shit! Thanks Ami, I needed these." He said examining the box.

Timmy then nudged my shoulder, I turned to him as he was smiling holding his present in hand. "Oh my god, this is amazing dude." I gave him a picture frame that had a picture of Timmy and I at the red carpet. Underneath it, it read "Best Kuya Award" which he chuckled at.

I faced Jo and Alex as they held up their gift to their chest. I got them matching sweaters which had Mr. Karev on the back of Alex's sweater and Mrs. Karev on Jo's sweater. They thanked me as they tried it on.

Lastly I looked across the room to see the one person I waited to see. They held the present in their hands in front of them, staring at it in awe. "I love it Ami, thank you." Louis walked over to me, giving me a kiss on the cheek. "Of course Lou, I'm glad you like it." I smiled at him. I gave him a painting that I had made over the last 3 weeks. It was the hardest present I've ever made for anyone really. It was our first picture we had together, the one where we were hugging. I loved the end result so much, I was debating whether or not to keep it.

After that, we all opened our gifts, ripping wrapping paper and making a mess on the floor.

I opened my gifts from everybody, loving every single one, but the last one I opened was by my favorite gift I've ever received.

I had gotten a lakers sweater from Alex and Jo, it had Kobe's jersey number on it which warmed my heart.

Willie gave me a matching set of necklaces I can layer with outfits and some earrings I had been eyeing at a store for some time.

Timmy's gift made me laugh. It was Pro Leather Mid White Shoes from Converse. "Those are the exact style of shoes Oliver wore during the dancing scene in Call Me By Your Name, but it's black instead of red cause I figured it'd be easier to match with your outfits."

Lastly, I opened Louis's gift which almost made me cry. It was a picture album. Specifically pictures of us that we took over the last few months. I turned the pages, laughter leaving my lips as I read Louis's handwriting under every single picture. He wrote memories of why or how we took that certain picture. I was surprised he remembered all of this. Once I came upon the last picture, I realized the book was only half filled. Then I read the message.

These pages are empty now, but will be filled later with the new memories we're going to make together. I'm glad to be here with you Darling, can't wait for these pages to be filled.

My heart did a little jump as I read the last sentence. I looked up to find Louis, only to see he was staring at me making his way across the room in my direction. He sat down next to me, pointing towards the book sitting in my lap.

"Do you like it?" He whispered.

This stupid idiot. "I love it Lou, thank you." I rested my body against his as he put his arms around me. Letting his chin rest on top of my head. I knew the others were staring at us, but I didn't care. My thoughts were filled with the boy next to me. And how I was just utterly head over heels in love with him.
