An idea was plucked from the sky.

It had been sitting there all its life, waiting for the chance to become something great.
And that day has finally come.
We're the Authors. Mighty, immortal beings... We have power over all things that happen in this book.
We write the plot.
We control the characters.
We order everything.
One of us "good," one of us "bad." We work with the other to bring the story of a loving friendship.
We present to you an idea drawn from the depths of the Void...

Someone coughs in the background.
"What is it, Demon?! I'm trying to narrate the start of our book!" I spin around on my desk chair and toss my hands up in faux annoyance.
"You're sounding so cryptic."
"Well, we are immortal, you being a demon and me being the weird hybrid I am; I'm just spittin' facts."
"Yeah yeah, just get to the story, Maya." Demon plucks at their nails, going quiet once more.
'I guess I shall...' I smile evilly and return my hands to the laptop keyboard. 'Ho boi, here we go...'
