Ben 10: Ultimate Verse

Chapter 13

the trio of crab-like aliens looks disinterest at Ben appearance before returning their attention towards the car, making the owner back up in fear as they began to once again munch away at the car metal. suddenly a net came around one of them, surprising the other two as Ben came down from the truck as Spider Monkey, followed by Rook after having used his net cannon to catch the first crab-like alien.

The other two looked at each other and quickly got to fixing the car, as Ben just sighed, getting out three egg-shaped pods and throwing them down, hitting the two that were eating the car and the one that Rook captured before using his web to collect them.

The whole patrol was less than stellar for the duo. In another part of town, a fish-like alien with tentacles was slithering through a alley way, as Ben followed suit as a sentient green mass of slime with Anti-Gravity Projector floating over his head and the Ultimatrix symbol is on the top of it.  Rook followed after the transformed hero, only to see the creature return a lost purse, causing the owner to take it and run away, as Goop sighed a bit with disappointment.

The last of the patrol involved a small alien child being backed into an ally by a larger creature with a squid-like head, only to stop when Ben glared at the figure, jacket sleeves already rolling upwards to revealing his Ultimatrix and Rook already preparing his Proto-tool. Moments later that it is revealed that the child was just feeding the creature, making the brunet and his partner to sheepishly back away, only to sigh in disappointment later.

After that, Ben groaned in boredom from inside the truck, while Rook had stayed in an alley to get some food. "Once again, the Earth is saved by Ben 10 when he defeated…the dreaded Car-eating crabs."

"Yeah…the worse they'll get is likely 10 days each for destroying someone's property." Ben startled by the voice, only to looking down from the truck window to revealing Rook who has came back into the Truck with some snacks from a near-by gas station.

taking a bite of a donut, Rook offering Ben the other donuts. The brunet thanking Rook for the donut, before also taking a bite with his own.

"Hmm…is it usually this quiet around here?" Rook questioning.

"I guess. Lately not much has been happening." Ben shrugs as he saw someone in a hoodie walking by, wearing an odd-looking backpack.

"Look, some normal guy, maybe we can bust him for daywalking." Ben commented sarcastically as Rook frowned when he noticed the device on the guy hand.

"That is an odd-looking phone…is that normal earth technology?" Rook asked as Ben noticed the odd-looking phone attached to a glowing yellow wire.

"No, that's not normal at all." Ben narrowing his eyes, before quickly  got out from the truck followed by Rook as they snuck towards the alley that the guy was going into.

"Listen, tell her that I'm part of something bigger. Corvo is going to the big top!" The guy who's name is revealed to be Corvo stopping as he removed his hood, revealing a young man with dark brown hair, and a dark orange streak going through the bang covering his right eye. "I'll call you back." his phone suddenly turned into a gun and fired towards the duo direction, as Rook dodged it while Ben glared.

"Halt!" Rook ordered as Corvo growled, glaring at him.

"Back off, cat-freak." Corvo fired yet again at the two, before running away while Ben ducked behind a trashcan to avoid being shoots and glared.

"Oh, now he's gonna get it. Get back to the proto-Truk, I got him!" Ben instructed as Rook nods before quickly heading towards their truck. On the other hand, Ben ran after Corvo, who was going towards his car while pulling out his jacket sleeves to revealing the Ultimatrix before twisted the Ultimatrix faceplate and suddenly it popped up. Looking at the now protruding faceplate, Ben turned the faceplate a few couple times while deciding which alien that he wants to pick right now.

"Come on…Big chill!" Ben slammed down, turning into a muscular being made entirely of living magma with a skull-like head shrouded by fire, small craters on his shoulders as it began to leak fire, with Ultimatrix symbol on his chest.

"HEATBLAST!" The pyronite cried out as he looked at himself, before turning his attention back towards Corvo, and narrowing his eyes when he saw Corvo going into a car. "Time to improvise." The Pyronite then took into the air, a streak of flames behind him as he flew after Corvo's jeep.

Corvo growled as he drove ahead, doing a quick turn as he dodged a fireball from up the air. The Proto-Truk drive out into the road, following closely from behind Corvo's car.

Rook pressed a button, causing the Proto-truk to turn into it's jet form, going much faster as Corvo grunts in frustration upon seeing this. Heatblast landing on the truck before slamming down onto the Ultimatrix symbol on his chest, changing physique quickly.

In his place was a humanoid being with a yellow body. thick black stripes on the torso, arms and legs. crab-like clawed hands, two-toed feet, two spiked shoulders, a skull-shaped metallic head with oval-shaped yellow-green eyes and the Ultimatrix symbol present on his chest.

"LODESTAR!" The Biosovortian exclaimed, quickly pointing his claws towards the jeep while concentrated, before lifting the transportation up into the air making Corvo jumped down, clearly trying to get away.

Rook came out from the Proto-truk, jumping over, running after Corvo and tackling him. Seeing they've captured their target, Lodestar carefully dropped the jeep. Lodestar dropping down from the truck, while slammed the Ultimatrix symbol in his chest and turned back into his human form.

"Hmm…high tech cell phone-blaster hybrid, I'm gonna guess you're someone's henchman." Ben noted, after looking over Corvo outfit.

"This technology is also level 4…usually used for advanced nations, specifically for gang-related activities." Rook added with a scowl.

"So, how tough is your boss so I can kick his butt?" Ben turned towards Corvo, crossing his arms as said man only simply laughed.

"Please, like you can take on my boss." Corvo remarked with full cockiness as a sparking sound is heard from the Jeep.

"Hmm…I will check his vehicle." Rook getting his Proto-Tool out as Corvo suddenly got nervous.

"Wait, there's nothing in there!" Corvo shouted in panic. Ben raised an eyebrow towards Corvo reactions, before turned towards Rook and nodded. Rook nods back as he opened the front of the car, revealing an odd-looking golden orb with a crack in it, while a high-pitched cackle is heard, before it suddenly came out, turning into electricity, and hitting Ben's Ultimatrix in the process, making the brunet yelped out in surprise.
