Ben 10: Ultimate Verse

Chapter 6

The duo were running through the streets, as the three criminals had split up and the two had separated to follow after them. Rook went after Fistina and bubble helmet, while Ben went after Liam.

"I can't believe there is a whole city with aliens in it..." Ben exclaimed via communicator link. He currently in an alien form to keep up with the fast chicken-like Alien. The form in question is a humanoid, plant-like alien that has an overall green and black colored body, mostly with a red flame-patterned head and root-like feet, which seemingly holding black rocks. His eyes are oval-shaped with points at each end, added with pupils copying the shape but are smaller. Also, his shoulders and head have red petals. His elbows and legs have green frills sticking out. Finally He wore the Ultimatrix symbol on his stomach.

"you sound very surprised, Ben-Dude." Rook keep jumping over crates to keep up with Bubble Helmet and Fistina, who was surprisingly agile.

"No offense, Rook, but a lot of people would be curious about this." The plant-like alien, known as Swampfire stated.

"be that as it may, let us catch these lowlifes who attacked Baumann." Rook kept following after Bubble Helmet and Fistina through a door that she had smashed before.

"don't get your hopes up, cat-boy..." Swampfire muttered to himself, while keeping his eyes on Liam as the chicken humanoid climbed onto some roofs, with Swampfire following effortlessly from behind.

Fistina and Bubble helmet ran past a few men, While Rook went by them as well, saying stuff like, "Excuse me," "Pardon," "my apologies, ma'am," as he kept the chase up between him and The criminals duo.

Bubble Helmet and Fistina jumped through a wall and fired her left arm out, releasing a grapple line that sent her ahead and landed on a near by rooftop and smirked, but growled when she saw Rook easily followed.

Liam jumped off of the rooftop and landed safely on the streets below, With Swampfire quickly following from behind. The Methanosian ignite fireball in his palms and fired it on the runaway criminal, which Liam dodged in time as it hit a near by cart, making an alien seller yell out in shock as his products went flying everywhere.

"Sorry." Swampfire smiled sheepishly as he ran by, leaving the alien groaned in annoyance.

"YOU DUMB PLANT..." He cursed loudly as he went to clean up, but got knocked down by Bubble Helmet and Fistina that ran by as Rook stopped to help him up.

"Sorry, are you alright?" Rook asked as he patted the alien seller off before going back after the criminals duo. The alien seller just groaned a bit, before rubbing his now sore head.

The two heroes finally united at the same route and chased after the criminals as they went down to a abandoned track. Swampfire instantly saw one of them and smirked.

The methanosian quickly reached at his back and throwing several seeds at Liam feet and the seeds instantly grown into many spikes of wood, effectively trapping the bird alien inside. Liam squawk out in surprise as the duo closely approaching his trapped form.

"Now, where is your boss? Who else in charge of the shake downs?"  Swampfire demanded, as he dangerously ignited his palm with  flames.

"Bwaak! Behind you!" The chicken alien yelled out as Rook rolled his eyes.

"I do not think I would fall for that, and I am new here." Rook shake his head in disbelief, when a car honk is heard. The Three looked with wide eyes as a large bus was coming on their way with high speed.

"Rook! Help me move him!"  Swampfire ordered before quickly destroying the wood spikes that hold Liam as the duo moved the bird alien out of the way, only resulting in Swampfire to get hit as Rook landed on the Plant-like alien's back while the driver looked shockingly at them.

"You took out my brakes!" the man yelled angrily as Swampfire glared at him with annoyance.

"YOU RAN US OVER!" The Methanosian countered loudly, with Rook, who had his back currently on The Evolved Methanosian, looked up at him with concern.

"UH...you may want to slow down now!" Rook informed cautiously as Swampfire quickly set rook aside and standing from his position before holding the bus while slammed his feet down to try and slow it down, making dents in the earth as the transportation stopped.

"Phew this is surprisingly heavy!' Swampfire commented, while turning back into his human form.

The Driver sighed at this as he informed to his passengers, "Here's our stop: Undertown Market place. All those who want to getting off, get off here. Next stop is Gasious Gardens." Several people came off as the car drove off, leaving a smoke trail behind.

"Your welcome!" Ben shouted sarcastically as rook got up from his position.

"Hey, you do not have brakes!" Rook shouted, concerned about the bus driver and his passengers safety.

"I think he'll figure it out." Ben reassured, before looked at the cat alien figure in concern "You ok Rook?"

"I am currently undamaged." Rook informed as they looked at the area curiously. The market Place was filled with activity with aliens of various shapes, sizes, colors and even species with different vendors selling various things.

"Wow...look at this place." Ben grinned and began to walk. "Come on Rook, lets look around." Rook looking around with concern as he followed closely behind.

(Back in the subway...)

Khyber was walking around, looking curious as he sniffed the air. "Old friend...I need you here." He gave a whistle as his dog arrived, growling a bit as Khyber looked to the spot below and got onto his knees.

"Hmm...size 12 Revonnahgander shoe prints, likely from the cat creature...and also Methanosian methane stench. They were here..." Khyber looked up and nods. "They are that way...hunt down the Ultimatrix Bearer!" He whistled as the dog ran off, a red glow came out as a dark figure began to grow out of it.
