The Mistress and her Manservant

Chapter 11

"Princess", daddy called me but his voice seemed distant, "Princess!", he called again. I woke up with a start and looked around confused. I realized we were in a car and and we had parked it somewhere. The events from earlier came flooding back.

"We have to leave.", daddy said holding the door on my side.

"Where are we?", I asked groggily.

"Pisa"

"Italy?", I asked surprised, how did we come so far? 

"Yup, come on.", he said helping me get off the jeep. I looked back and saw that the color of the jeep was blue. I absorbed the environment with dazed eyes and realized that we were at the airport. We checked in our bags, went through the security check and settled in the lounge.

"Are you hungry?", daddy asked.

"Yup", I replied quickly

We walked to the McDonald's and ordered burgers for us. I scoffed down the burger as soon as it was placed in front of me.

"Eat slowly", Daddy said wiping the sauce from my face, "We can order more if you want."

"I want one more.", I realized how hungry I was after eating two burgers, fries and coke. After eating,  we walked around browsing the airport shops. Daddy allowed me to buy anything but I just browsed around listlessly. Yesterdays events had left me shocked.

"Did you get my clothes", I asked 

"Yeah, I grabbed a few essentials in hurry."

"Where are we going now? Are we going home?"

"We are going to a safe place, princess. We will not be going home for the time being, we'll go after this is settled.", I saw daddy saying the last words through his teeth.

The announcement for boarding the plane was made and we walked to our terminal. Once we were seated in the flight, daddy relaxed a bit and I put on some cartoon to watch.

"Daddy, I'm getting a headache", I mumbled after waking up from my deep slumber. The pilot announced that we were about to arrive in Salzburg.

"Here", he handed me his jacket, "We will buy some medicine after we land."

"Okay."

I wondered how Lucas, his mother and grandmother escaped but by thinking about that my headache increased and it felt like my head will burst any minute. We landed safely and bought some medicine  before walked towards the exit. Daddy hailed a taxi and told the driver the address.

"Daddy", I started crying due to uncontrollable headache.

"Princess, is it hurting a lot?", he asked and hugged me.

"Yes"

"Here take this" he handed me a pill and a bottle of water. The medicine made me drowsy at first but it reduced the headache gradually. I watched the black forest pass by as we drove to our destination.

"Why are we here?", I asked as soon as we got off the car. We were dropped on the roadside where there was a board named safe place. It didn't look safe at all.

"This is the safe place"

"When will we go back home?", I asked in a whiney tone.
