Part 2
11 years later
Kit's POV
I wrote 'end' on the last page of my answer sheet and submitted it to the invigilator sitting in the front of the classroom I was done with my degree and was a free bird, or I thought I was one. I can look for her freely. I walked out of the classroom and the afternoon sun shone directly overhead which made me slightly dizzy.
"Hey, you okay?", Mom asked approaching me.
"Yeah, it was a sudden change of temperature.", I smiled at her.
"Oh, come one, father is waiting for us.", mom said ushering me towards the car parked at the entrance of my university. We got in the car and my father started asking about the exam to which I replied shortly. We drove to a luxurious restaurant to have lunch. I was occupied with my thoughts while having lunch so I kept to myself.
"Mom dad.", I called them at the end of our meal.
"Yes son?", they asked expectantly.
"May I go back to Vladivostok?"
They exchanged worried looks but I continued, "I have graduated now and want to look for a job there."
"Its a small city...", mom trailed off.
"Why do you want to go back?", dad asked.
"I'll find good opportunities in small places", I said confidently but the real reason was my uneasy heart, "It will also help me with my startup."
"You sure you're not going back for something else.", mom asked
"I have not contacted Aunt Emily since then.", I said softly.
"Okay, we won't stop you, son, you're free to go wherever you want." dad said with a sigh.
"Thank you mom dad", I said gratefully.
It has been 11 years since the accident, I had left city because of the adults decision. I went there once to find her but everything was gone, it was like a dream. No one knew about the family or the mansion. I looked for Katy and Sky but I couldn't find them either.
I still remember the tragic day like it had happened yesterday, the day which changed my life. I knew the whole truth but I couldn't tell it to anyone. That day, while we were fighting, Lucas had pulled me with him towards the edge. I almost saw him smirk and while falling he fell over me to save himself. I still remember the pain that shot through my back when he landed on me. I saw her panic state and crying over us just before I lost consciousness.
I woke up a month later and found that we were in a different city which was far from her. My parents said they didn't want me to go back to the mansion. They said she had pushed me but I told them the truth. First they didn't believe it but after talking to different counsellors they started believing me. I cried, begged, shouted and even threw a tantrum to go back but they didn't allow.
I had taken that year off from school. I stayed home due to my injuries and took care of my sister. It was a hard year, I helped my mom with her bakery and cafe. I was always lost in my own world thinking about her. I was worried what might she be doing through. I had my parents and sister to take care of me but she only had me and her father. We had a very short time together but she had become a very important person to me. She aloof behaviour with everyone made me more worried about her.
