Hermione was standing in front of her closet looking at her clothes.ast night before dropping her home, Edward had asked her to be ready by 9:30 am, without disclosing anything else. So here she was in her towel freaking out about what to wear like a hormonal teenager. She decided to go for pants and a blue shirt. She put her hair in a bun letting few tendrils escape to frame her heart shaped face. She opted for hoop earrings, charm bracelet and was done. Patiently waiting while sipping her coffee, she started thinking. She hoped that today was the day Edward would reveal that he was a vampire. He knew she had been observing him for a while and had her suspicions. She didn't say anything because she wanted him to decide whether he was comfortable with telling her the secret or not. A part of her wanted him to trust her with it. While she was pondering over this, the doorbell rand signalling Edward's arrival. "Good morning" he said with a crooked smile which made her go weak in the knees. "Good morning to you too" she whispered. "You ready to go?" he asked. "Yuppp".Edward's POV:
Edward was happy that his family had been supportive of his decision to tell Hermione about them. Somehow he wasn't sure of Hermione would be supportive of him. Funny how hundred years of hidden insecurities came bubbling over because of one girl. He had been able to withstand Bella leaving him. He had always thought that he didn't deserve her. But the thought of Hermione rejecting him gave him such pain that he wasn't sure if he would survive. He wouldn't care of he was good enough for her or not. He would go through hell and back to become a man good enough for her, but the thought of her hating him was something he couldn't let that happen. After fifteen minutes of procastinating he got out of the car and rang the doorbell.
Hermione's POV:
"Are you going to kill me and bury me in the woods?" She asked. "I wouldn't go through the trouble of driving you here to kill you. You live at the end of the town where no townsfolk lives. And besides I didn't bring a shovel" he said. "That's reassuring" she said getting out of the car. "I thought we could go for a hike. I want to tell you something" he said. "Wow, first date in a wild forest. Could you be more romantic?" she said rolling her eyes. "I didn't know this was a date" he said smirking at her blush. "And anyways this is not our first date. Remember the dinner in Port Angeles?" He continued
That memory brought me back to his stalking abilities. "That wasn't a date Edward. That was you being a creepy stalker" I gritted. "My, my you can really hold a grudge" he laughed. That was a beautiful sound. "You should try laughing more often you know. I mean when you are not being Mr. Broody, Mr. Stalker or Mr. Mind Reader." I teased. "Ah, so many names Hermione. Aren't you happy with my original one?" He asked.
"I don't know. Sounds kind of old you know. Like beginning of the nineteenth century." And just like that the playful mood was gone. Hermione hated to be the one to do it, but someone had to do that. They were just going around in circles.
"So talk" she said sitting on a rock. "What do you want to know?" he tensed. She wanted to reassure him but she decided that it could wait. "How old are you?" She started with the easiest question. "Seventeen"
"And how long have you been seventeen?"
"Since 1918"'Holy mother of go...... he was old enough to be her great grandfather. What if he was some ancestor of hers? Na dshe had kissed him. That would be gross! Okay Hermione relax. Stupid doesn't become you.'
"You know what this means? You know understand what I am?" Edward asked with a hard look in his eyes. "Yes. You're a vampire" I responded calmly. "But I've decided it doesn't matter" I continued. "What?" He looked so shocked that I almost burst out laughing. "It doesn't matter. I want to give us a chance." I said firmly."Are you crazy. Hermione do you realise how screwed up this is? I'm a hundred years old bloodsucking parasite who can kill you before you can even blink. I'm a monster" he yelled. That's it. I got up from the rock, dropped my calm facade and gave him a McGonagall worthy glare. "Don't you dare raise your voice at me Edward Cullen. You told me what you were. Whether I want to be with you or not is completely my decision to make. I'm here because I trust you not to hurt me. So don't for a second think that your attempt to intimidate me is going to work!" I said breathing heavily. God he was so annoying. Another supernatural thinking that he wasn't worthy of love. I was sure there would be many fights in future about this, but for now this was over.
Edward flashed in front of me and held my face in his hands. His look was filled with surprise, shock, reverence and dare I say it love? He pressed his lips against mine and every sane thought flew out of my mind. All I could feel were his lips moving against munne and his hands circling around my waist. I didn't know how but my hands were fisted in his hair tugging him closer. I started getting dizzy and felt the shortness of breath. He leaned his forehead against mine and closed his eyes. This kiss was so much different from our first one. Our first kiss was pure and innocent. But this kiss was so passionate that let's just say I wasn't the only one whose world was spinning
