Bite's POV

"Bite?" I heard Frost call. I froze. Nobody was supposed to see me sneak out of the cabin. Turning around to face her, I asked, "Why are you still awake?"

"Why are you awake?" Frost countered, scrambling out of her sleeping bag.

"I couldn't sleep," I shrugged.

"Well, same," Frost replied. "So, where are you going?"

"Follow me," I smirked. Frost rolled her eyes, but followed me anyway.

~~~
I climbed up a tree near our cabin. I had already memorised which branches to step on when I climbed up the tree yesterday. I held out a hand to Frost, since she seemed to need a bit of help, and she grabbed onto it. A spark passed through me when our hands touched, Surprised, I nearly let go, but instead held her hand tighter and pulled her up. Frost settled next to me and looked up at the stars, clearly visible without the light pollution. I studied her for a moment, before turning to watch the stars.
You and I
We're like fireworks and symphonies exploding in the sky
"Look there's Orion," Frost nudged me, pointing at a constellation. She smiled, pleased at herself, and I smiled too, at her enthusiasm.
With you, I'm alive
Like all the missing pieces of my heart they finally collide
Under the pale light of the moon, Frost looked much more relaxed. For the past few months, whenever I looked at her, she always seemed tense. Constantly biting her lips and fiddling with the charm bracelet someone (aka me) gave her for Valentine's Day. Looking at her wrist, a satisfied smirk appeared on my face as I saw the charm bracelet still there. Frost had really liked that gift, she even added a cute chicken charm next to the two I picked for her, a silver tiara and a letter F. But the genuine smile on her face was the best part of her.
So stop time right here in the moonlight
'Cause I don't ever wanna close my eyes
Frost's POV
I leaned against Bite a little, and I felt so comfortable just sitting next to him, watching the stars. Under the night sky, I felt as though we were truly two parts of a whole.
With you, I fall
It's like I'm leaving all my past in silhouettes up on the wall
"Will we get caught?" I asked Bite, turning my head to face him.
"Nah, the teachers don't check here," he grinned. "I was here yesterday, I didn't get caught."
With you, I'm a beautiful mess
It's like we're standing hand in hand with all our fears up on the edge
Bite's POV
Frost started humming a tune and the song seemed familiar, but just out of reach. Frost's voice sounded... melodious, actually. I didn't know she sang so well. I always thought she was more of a dancer.
You're the perfect melody
The only harmony I wanna hear
"I didn't know you could sing so well," I teased Frost. She shoved me playfully, and I grabbed onto the branch to stop myself from falling.
You're my favourite part of me
With you standing next to me
I've got nothing to fear
Frost's POV
"Without you, I feel broke, like I'm half of a whole," I sang softly to Sad Song by We The Kings. I'm pretty sure it's Lily's favourite song, but who cares? It's a nice song. Bite's eyes widened in- surprise? -like he's finally figured out something.
"Without you, I've got no hand to hold," Bite continued. His voice actually sounded quite nice.
"Without you, I feel torn, like a sail in a storm," we sang together in harmony. "Without you, I'm just a sad song."
I smiled at Bite, and he gave me a rare smile, considering that he usually just smirked at me.
Without you, I'm just a sad song
Where would I be without Bite?
