Music played and people sang
Just for me the church bells rang

Now he's gone, I don't know why
And 'til this day, sometimes I cry
He didn't even say goodbye
He didn't take the time to lie

-Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down) by Nancy Sinatra

Andrew Minyard woke up violently. He can still hear the crashing, the screaming, and the splattering of blood. His heart was beating fast, his hands were shaking by his sides, and his breathing was hard with panic. He was laying down on something semi-soft; his head laid on some cheap pillow. His eyes were squinting at a blinding white light. It was the only thing he saw in his vision. He had to keep blinking away to clear any spots clouding his vision. Now he was looking at a ceiling above with the fluorescent light close to him. His breathing and shaking slowly relaxed a bit. He felt what was on him and knew he was wearing a hospital gown.

Andrew felt like shit. When he propped himself with his elbows, his head felt heavy and foggy. He saw he was in a hospital with other patients sleeping in their respective hospital beds. How long has he been asleep here? He laid himself back into his bed and stared at the ceiling.

He started to remember the last memory before he was brought here. His memory had always been flawless. He knew that he was at a wedding in a small church, managed by his friend Renee Walker. Everyone was there. Neil, Aaron, Nicky, Kevin, Renee, Katelyn, Erik, Thea, Allison, Matt, Dan, Wymack, Abby, Roland. All of the Foxes were there.

It was supposed to be his and Neil's wedding. A private one at Columbia, South Carolina. He didn't want it to be extravagant, the way most people have it. He wanted it to be small and personal with the people he trusted the most. He was going to be with the man he was going to have forever. The man who made him feel human. The wedding was supposed to be his happiest point he had ever been in his life. He wanted to be allowed to be happy, a feeling he had been so scared of in most of his life, only for it to be taken away coldly.

He remembered the church doors slammed open. Only four strangers came in. They had their rifles up, cocked them, pulled down their triggers.

Bang bang

Bullets flew across the room.

Bang bang

One by one, Aaron, Nicky, Renee, everyone. Shot. Right before Andrew's eyes.

Bang bang

They all fell down to the ground dead.

Bang bang

He and Neil were the only ones standing, shocked in horror. The four strangers then surrounded them in a circle. There was nowhere to run. A man entered through the opened church doors. He walked passed through the dead bodies like they were nothing. The dead bodies of their friends. He was staring at them with a sadistic smile and harsh blue eyes. It was Nathan. It was the Butcher. He should have been dead.

“N-Nathan?” Neil was shaking. Nathan stood in front of Neil and raised a handgun at him. Cock . “Nathan, please!”

Nathan shot Neil in the head with a horrifying, deafening sound. He fell to the ground right in front of him. He saw the blood oozing out of his head. Andrew froze. Neil's last words ended with please. Andrew’s most hated word, stained by his past abusers. The moment Neil fell, he was filled with so much hate and rage. His heart pounded hard. His eyes burned like fire. Neil said the word "please" and he died from it . All he saw was crimson red at Nathan.
