This stems off of a oneshot I made in my Peter Gets High Oneshots book, but someone commented that I should make this into its own book and I love that idea so here we are! Also there's no COVID cause I don't wanna write that shit

3rd POV

"It's such bull that this shit is still illegal here." Peter says after taking a drag of the blunt that he, MJ, and Ned are all sharing on the roof of Peters apartment building.

"Right?" Ned says and shakes his head in disappointment, "like how is it legal in fuckin Montana and not here? This is New York City!"

"So annoying." MJ pipes in as Peter passes her the blunt. She takes a hit and looks out at the city. It's a beautiful autumn evening, breezy but not cold yet.

They sit in comfortable silence with only the sounds of the city below them, passing the blunt and watching the sun set over the skyscrapers. The blunt gets finished right as the street lights start turning on.

"Now what?" Peter asks after 15 minutes of silence.

MJ sighs, "We could go inside and make food?" Both boys faces light up at her suggestion and she chuckles. "Come on, then."

-time skip-

The three of them made a frozen pizza and grabbed some cheez itz, now they're sitting on the couch listening to music and chatting.

"Can you guys believe I'm SpiderMan? Like that's so fuckin crazy!" Peter says, sitting upside down on the couch and looking at his friends.

"You're what?" MJ says in shock. Peter widens his eyes and quickly turns himself upright on the couch.

"What?! I thought you guys already knew!" He says, freaking out slightly. He runs his hands through his hair in a panic. Silence fills the room as the three friends sit there, not knowing what to say.

Ned is the one to end the quiet. "We're just fuckin with you, Pete." He says with a giggle and lightly hits him on his knee.

"Guys! What the fuck?!" Peter says between laughs. Ned and MJ start laughing too. "I was like I really thought they knew already but maybe not jeez guys you can't do that shit I'm high as fuck!"

"Brooo you should have seen your face!" MJ says and rolls onto the floor laughing.

"Stop iiiiiit! I was so confused!!" He screeches and giggles.

"Oh my god, a classic" Ned says as his laughter calms down.

Just as they start talking about something else, May walks in. "Hey, kids! How was school today?" She asks and sets her purse on the table and walks over to them.

"It was good." Peter says and the other two nod. May takes off her jacket and hangs it up on the hook by the door.

"That's good. It's getting late now so you guys should head home and get some sleep." She says with a smile. Ned and MJ nod and they all start cleaning up their food. Once everything's cleaned up, Peter walks them to the front door.

"Okay, I'll see you guys in the morning. Byeeee." He says and they say goodbye and he closes the door. The silence fills the apartment again and he hears the shower turn on.

Right as his friends left, Peter felt a weight on his shoulders again, the depression starting so sneak back in as his high goes away. He shakes his head and walks into his room and locks the door behind him.

He sits on his bed and opens the drawer of his nightstand and digs around for a bit before he finds it.

A pill bottle.

He shakes one pill out into his hand and puts the bottle away. He lays down in bed and stares at the small blue pill in his fingers. The sudden and unexpected self hatred makes him quickly take the pill dry in hopes of making it go away.

He lays in bed for a while just staring at the ceiling, waiting for it to kick in. The shower shuts off and he hears May walking into her bedroom. He sits up and makes his way to his door and unlocks then opens it. He peers out and sees that she shut off all the lights, probably assuming he went to bed.

Peter quietly goes into the bathroom and shuts the door behind him. He makes eye contact with himself in the mirror and immediately acknowledges how small his pupils are. He quickly pees then goes back to staring at himself in the mirror.

The longer he stares, the more fuzzy his reflection looks and he blinks and decides to go back to his room. When he gets back in there he looks at the clock and realizes he was in the bathroom for 45 minutes. His stomach turns and he feels nauseous. He winces slightly but remembers that's just a side effect of the Percocet.

Peter smiles to himself as he climbs into bed and pulls out his phone to text people back and look at random apps until he eventually passes out.

He quickly sets an alarm for the morning so he doesn't oversleep like last week. Oh boy was May upset when she got the call that he didn't show up for school all day. Peter was just as surprised when he woke up at 2pm instead of 6am.

He feels his eyes slowly flutter shut after who knows how long as he drifts off into sleep.

I hope people will like this new book, let me know what you guys think!
