Mina and I grabbed Kirishima's hands, trying to stop him from saying any more.

"I heard what you guys were saying about Yona." Denki started. "Were you guys fully there when it happened?" Denki clenched his jaw.

Everyone stayed quiet. "Hey, what's going on here?" Mount Lady banged on the table, gathering everyone's attention.

Kirishima stayed quiet. "Nothing, ma'am. Sorry." A blond guy from class 1-B smirked at the two.

"See? They're all talk. Just because they're in class 1-A they think they're all that."

"Monoma, that's enough."I remember Kendo. Her and Hitoshi walk around school all the time together.

Everyone in class 1-A was silent, but they were annoyed and angry.

My eyes shifted over to Shoto, who was still eating his soba.

"But it's true. One of their student almost killed their teacher? And they get away with it?" Monomaniacs scoffed, looking directly at me.

"That's how you know the school has a messed up system. They treat kids differently. How are we supposed to become great hero's like they said we will if-"

"Monoma, can you please just shut up and eat your food?" Aoyama was the first one to say something, followed by Iida.

"Not only are you slandering the school's name, you're also hurting my friend. Please stop." Iida waved his hands in the air.

"You all know I'm right. Just because you've encountered villains, that doesn't mean you guys are the shit. We've all worked hard too, yet you guys still get treated better!"

Monoma glared at me. "Especially her! She's the perfect example. She has a flashy quirk, one that's designed for hero's. But she can't even control it? She also almost killed Mr. Aizawa!"

"Stop it, Monoma!" I shouted. Everyone froze. I looked at Monoma and his face.

"Do you really think I wanted this quirk? Do you really think I wanted to hurt Mr. Aizawa?" My voice was shaky. And the fact that everyone was listening didn't help.

"Well, you might as well just be quirkless."

I widened my eyes. He noticed that I was affected.

"I've trained for so long to be here. To be accepted into this school." I fidgeted with my hands, trying not to stutter.

"So are you telling me that we didn't work hard enough, since we're in different classes than yours? We all know that those who are seeking for young heroes in the school festival are only focusing on class 1-A."

"Listen here, you dipshit." Our eyes shifted over to Katsuki Bakugou, who had on a smirk on his face.

"Maybe you should keep training instead of whining, eh? Maybe you'll actually get somewhere in life."

I looked over to Mina, who had her head down.

"And who are you to tell her that her hard work is insignificant? You're just a smartass. So, keep eating your food in silent and we'll do the same." Bakugou sat back down, picking at his food like nothing happened.

I gave Monoma an apologetic look, one that says I didn't mean any harm. He ignored it and sat down.

Now, there was this thick awkwardness in the air, lingering. It was suffocating.

"You know, Monoma is right." We were all training together outside. Ochako was the first one to say anything ever since we got out.
